A creepy old man approaches you on the street and tries to sell you an enchanted scroll. What is your reaction:


Kinja was a seasoned explorer. He had ventured down quite a few caves since he had decided to take up this path in life. He had faced his share of monsters, mostly slimes, and had even found one of them fabled gold chests once... however... it was locked and since it was too much hassle to carry it back up to the surface he had just left it there... He had also taken his fair share of rocks on the head but that's a different tale. As with any explorer there were times when they had to go back to town to sell their finds and buy supplies, today was one such day.
As Kinja finished up his business at with the Merchant and left the shop he found himself facing a creepy old man. After staring a few moments at the old man he came to the conclusion that the old man only looked creepy because he was covered in dirt, the rusty tools on his back showed he must have been a miner.
As Kinja was about to open his mouth and ask the old man to move, the old man started talking:
"Hey there sonny, the tools you carry i can tell you're an explorer. Might you be interested in this dusty treasure map i have here. I've been wanting to use it myself for many years but i've never gotten around to it and now i'm too old to go down to such depths."
Always up for an adventure Kinja decided to ask the old man more about this map:
"Where did you come by such a rare item old timer ?"
"Well, to tell the truth, i wont it in a dice game years back from another miner like myself. Man swore on his momma's grave that it was the real deal."
"And how much would you be asking for it ?"
"Well, to tell the truth, i have no idea what it's worth, but i think a couple of gold coins should do it."
While the prospect of parting with his gold was not a happy one, he had a good feeling about that map:
"Ok old timer, i'l take it, if i find something good i'l buy you a pint the next time i'm in town."
"Mighty nice of you sonny."
After the map and money exchanged hands Kinja went on his way having no idea what lay ahead and what troubles the map would bring.






P.S I hope you guys dont mind that i changed from scroll to map in my short story, sounded better this way since my character is an explorer.

You wake up in the middle of a strange forest.
You have no tools or weapons; all you have are the clothes on your back.
What would be your first course of action?(RP it.):  First thing I need is shelter. I'll find small fallen trees and rocks and build a "U" shape rock wall with the trees and leaves over top. Then once I am satisfied I will search for tinder and sticks. Fire is key to staying alive in the unknown... It keeps wild animals away while lifting morale. Next, provided it is still light outside, I'd hunt for food. Unfortunately I'd probably have to resort to grubs under rocks or in a fallen tree because I have no real trap, just things to throw. After force swallowing 3 beetle grubs and a few crickets I'll turn in for the evening. Once the sun rises I will find North and figure out a good direction then make for civilization, hopefully and not deeper into the woods, after I make sure the fire is out and leave the shelter behind in case anyone else gets caught in the same mess.

Well, Edgar, patience.  I can see how you're angry.  So am I.  I've seen them look for the answer to their dropping population.  It's right before them.  I heard somebody waited a month, and still hasn't got his application yet.  So it's obvious that the applications are not being read frequently enough.  But deleting your post after only two days is not going to solve their population issues, or your roleplaying problems.  This is probably one of the best roleplaying servers for Terraria out there.  It may be slow, but it's probably worth it.  Also, this won't be any faster than the next roleplaying server along.  I think that you'll find nothing but whitelists for roleplaying servers and I can see why.  I've been griefed multiple times and nobody wants that happening to them.  But don't take your anger out on the forums.  Just wait and see.
