Race: Vrepblaka

Defining Features: Beak like mouth, taloned feet (dont want to be kicked in the nuts by one), two spiral horns, 5 feet tall on average, live on Mountain Tops, trouble speaking the Aceonic language (if it has a special name) due to beak, ear-drum splitting battle cry, no sense of smell, excellent eye sight and fondness for Human flesh.

Why this race and not another?: again sounds quite cool and there isnt anything quite like it, if there are any problems it can change

It's not plagiarism, I just remember them being really cool/interesting. They were enemies but they were powerful as fuck.

It quite unique and it would be cool to see this race be companions with other characters.

Defining Features: they are pretty much any animal you can find in the forest. (No lions or kangaroos)

Why this race and not another?:Because this race is really different from the rest of there other ones. It's quite unique in the way you would have to role-play somewhat like an animal (who can talk) and it would be cool to see this race be companions with other characters.

Race: Astralkin


Lore:


The lore of this race is loosely based off the lore of Allods Online.


The Astralkin come from a region known as the Astral. For millenia, the Astral surrounded the planet Sarnaut. For no known reason, the planet shattered in an event known as the Great Cataclysm. All that was left of Sarnaut was a few floating shards of land, known as allods. The allods were slowly being consumed by the Astral, but the Great Mages of Sarnaut found several ways to create gaps in the Astral, called June Spheres, allowing for the preservation of the allods.


However, this displeased the Astralkin. Each time a gap was created in the Astral, the Astral energy that used to be there vanished, creating a gap in the Astral. Since the Astralkin live in, feed on, and worship the Astral, and cannot survive very long outside, they took serious offense at this. A few centuries after the Great Cataclysm, the Astralkin attacked the allod of Kirah, starting the Great Astral Conquest.


Because of their general appearance and general hatred and violence towards all the Astral-jek(Astral-stealers in their native tongue; the inhabitants of allods), the Astralkin were labeled as Astral Demons. Their main invasion strategy is to summon portals to use to enter the Allod from inside the To this day, they've been fighting a war against the Astral-jek, aiming to claim the Astral that was once theirs.


How did the Astralkin come to Aceon, though, if the Astral is many lightyears away?


Around 100 years after the Astralkin invaded Kirah, a rebel group of Astralkin formed. They doubted the practices of the Astralkin religion; if the Astral was all powerful, how could there be Astral-jek? The rebels were convicted of heresy, of course, and hunted down and executed for their crimes. A group of rebels found a way to create a portal outside the boundaries of the Astral. The one-way portal happened to open in the land of Aceon. Since the Aceonians(Aceonites?) didn't steal any Astral, the rebel Astralkin didn't consider them Astral-jek. The Astralkin still have a strong racial hiearchy, but they're neutral towards their fellow Aceonians.

Defining features
You know what? I've had a problem with role-playing games for quite some time now...The term "Race" is usually defined as different types of characters. Really, though, I believe the correct term is "Species." It might not have been invented in the middle ages, but in some rpg's, there are many distinctive races within each species. So I'll refer to the Astralkin as a species from now on and their "sub-races" as just races.


There are many different races of the Astralkin. I've made skins for only a few. Since I don't know their Astralkin names(I made Astral-jek and Astralkin up entirely), I'll call them by their Sarnautian names.





Octulhu: The Octulhu are the largest Astralkin. They resemble a cross between a crab and a hominid, with many unique features. The Octulhu have a mass of light blue tentacles on their back; the purpose of these is unknown. They are also easily identified by their whiplike arms, which are meant for tearing open large prey. Although they are very large, their full height is unknown; they are almost always seen sitting on a floating shard of Allod.



These are the eldest of all the demons. All Astralkin report to the Octulhu. Unlike the elders of most races, which are wise yet weak physically, Octulhu are the most powerful Astralkin. All Sarnautians know and fear Octulhu; their presence is almost always an omen of death and destruction. Only the most powerful Astral ships can defeat an Octulhu.





Dominator: The Dominators are the most well-decorated race of Astralkin. They sport a variety of jewelry and decorative armor. What lies behind the Dominators' helm is unknown, but a beard-like growth of light blue tentacles pokes out from behind it.  The Dominators have very large hands and arms, but instead of feet, they have a mass of light-blue tentacles, each as long as an arm.



Dominators are the nobles and generals of the Astralkin. Dominators report only to the Octulhu. This majestic race not only is the main governing body of the Astralkin; they also command invasions. Without the help of the Dominators, the Octulhu wouldn't be able to command even the first invasion.





Mage: These Astralkin look and move like octopuses draped in shabby, brown cloaks. Astralkin Mages may appear to fly, but really, all they can do is hover close enough to the ground that they appear to walk.



Mages are one of the soldier races of the Astralkin. As their name suggests, they are able to summon the power of the Astral and fling it at their enemies. The Mages and Predators comprise the "middle class" of the Astralkin.





Predator: These Astralkin most closely resemble the classic demon. Predators have hooves, horns, and giant, glowing hands.



Predators are the second soldier race of the Astralkin. Like Mages, Predators can summon the Astral at will; however, unlike Mages, who use their power for long-range attacks, Predators allow power to gather in their hands, then slam their hands on the ground, causing an explosion. Predators usually take the front line in battle.





Scout: These Astralkin look like mutant toads with crystals sticking out of their backs. These are, in my opinion, the ugliest Astralkin. They're so ugly, I haven't even made a skin for them.


Scouts are the lowest form of Astralkin. They are weak, slow, annoying, and stupid. Scouts are only useful in large swarms, and even then, it's easier to defeat three Scouts than one Mage or Predator.

Why?
First and foremost, Allods Online is my favorite mmorpg. It takes a while to get to the endgame, but when you do, you get to fight demons and explore the Astral in your very own Astral battleship. I love the unique gameplay and plot that surrounds the Astral, and I wish my Allods launcher was still working; if it was, I probably wouldn't even be typing this race profile right now.


Also, I think the Astralkin are a unique and sophisticated species. They're constantly portrayed as the antagonists in Saurnaut(the world of Allods, in case you haven't figured that out by now), and I've often wondered what the plot would look like from their point of view. Now that there's a group in Aceon, they have a second chance. A chance to be accepted by all races, regardless of their demonic appearance. Since I like my character more than that of the Astralkin, I probably won't be one, unless there's a need, but I think it would be interesting to see the Astralkin in the world of Aceon.

Normal weight:Less than 70 pounds
Long sharp ears
Skin color: Green, olive, lime and dark green (lime are rudely insulted by there own race).
Eye color: Ender Black.
Teeth: Many, usually hidden.
Horn(s) Unlikely and males only.
Language: Unknown, speaks bad english.
Hair: Black, long
Other details: Has a starving look to them up close and are terrifying when they bare they're teeth.

Male Shaman (84 Years Old)

Why this race and not another?:Planning event (need to speak with Avol) and for my character.

Race: Weld plural Welden
Defining Features: tree bark for skin, grown from seeds of the greatest trees in Aceon as their defenders, wood sap is their blood, can grow back limbs after long periods of time, when they are about to die they can 'plant' themselves in the ground and be regrown as new Welden, they can be from any type of tree found in Aceon (pine, birch, normal) and their bark skin will be that colour, red eyes, any height, move slowly except when in battle, very protective of the forests and talks slowly with trouble on 'r's.
Why this race and not another?: It is quite different from anything else we have got so though it could be fun to RP as

Replace "Aceon" with Soldaria and it's approved;

Realise there are ONLY redwoods in Soldaria.
