Well guys, it's september, the start of a bright, yet influential year ahead of us, putting aside the recent edrama with silly kids. Lets move on with whats going on in HGN and my life (Great right?).

Im taking on board alot of things this year, i was only able to give HGN the attention it deserved last year, because i dropped my main course, but pretty much all my timetable is full, i don't really want to say it, but im going to have to put HGN aside for my education, that doesn't mean im giving up, it just means there will most likely be less activity from me on the personal side.

We are almost at the 12 month part of doing STALKER RP for 12 months, longer than anyone before us, truely amazing, for all the staff still remaining, thankyou for your long support over the past 11 months, for some of you, STALKER has grown boring, but you stay to give those who have not experienced it, a change to. For those which have left, it was a good run, but in most cases, they were imature and were unfit for adminship, but guys, that's what the trials for!

That aside, i do have some rather special updates instore, heres alittle insider:

Radiationscript2:
Some people know about this already, but alot of you don't know that i was working on it, it will have a working inventory (without all the glitches) Weapon slots, a suit system, blowouts, npc's, artifact belt, stats and all that jazz. It's looking something special, but is not near completion, im not sure how eventful college is going to be this year yet, but it really depends on that mostly. Ill go into depth later on in another announcement or thread about RAD2.

Moddit:
You remember that little project i talked about a few months ago? The one site which will be like moddb, but more towards "mods for GOOD games" instead of a mixture of mods which never get finished (hurr hurr) It will be aimed at being a large database for some of the most popular games, like STALKER, fallout 3, oblivion, half life 2 etc Including Tunddruffs STALKER RPG game and any other projects you guys are cooking up.

Features: Game Database (Games which are actually moddable) Downloads for mods, news, articles, features, points system etc. It's looking pretty good, and i hope you guys get into it once it's up. Im still debating if i should use the forums here on HGN or make another forum, thats still something to decide.

DeadFall:
Yes, we are considering taking up my little experiment again, this time, more in depth, a custom map (like a city/redneck town) we are also considering the uk too. But this time better systems, script spawned npc's, and a background histories for players. Using the idea of survival that we were doing before, we will take it to the next level, survive, or die, it's your choice.  If your character die's you won't be able to use them for a hour, to avoid NLR and keep the game running steady.

Features: Fortifaction system: Use materials from things you find, like tear up chairs and tables to  (barricade doors, windows and other entrance points) Place traps such as a tripmine or turrets.

Npc System: Npc's such as zombies will spawn at certain locations, they will only attack if they see you, they will wander around the map, so they will never stay in the same place twice! They will be able to attack all barricades and enter buildings, once they have seen you, they will hunt you down, and will even call reinforcements.

Player History: This is a idea i have been thinking about for awhile, when you make your character, you have to choose their background, such as being a mechanic (you start off wearing the mechanic suit) a cop or other various backgrounds, you can select your stats and start off at a random spawn. This will put you directly into the roleplay and get you going on the right foot, you can always go put on another uniform or outfit, after all, suits durability runs out after awhile.

Player Zombifications: Well now, this is something we are thinking about also, special unique creatures, played by the player, kinda like left4dead if it were, but abit more in depth. How you get these mutations is something to be decided too, such as a radiation doses, mixing dna, etc. How it would fit in is still being decided.

Edrama:
I guess ill include one more thing, EDRAMA, yes, you have all probably experienced it, i sure have, over the last 11 months, ive had enough to cover my lifespan, and i don't want to experience any more, it's horrible and it's general the imature kids which cause it.

Example: Deet, complaining on the forums that his life sucks, then when you confront him to try and help him, he continues to troll himself. Later on, he attempted to make his own "STALKER RP" with the old broken zonescript, then randomly says he isn't.

Another example: Someone's inventory swallows up his exosuit, he then spams the chatbox, and posts some raging comment on the forums about it. (It's happened before, blame garry for breaking RAD1's Inventory) That's a pretty good example of what not to do, contact a admin, and let them deal with it.

Speak Up!
We have always been open at HGN, if you have a problem with a staff member or another member, speak up about it, if someones minging or using a exploit, tell a admin. Our trials are new and make mistakes, in the past we have had some powerhungry kids (Sheperd, Ness Tea, Zaki, im looking at you guys!) If you see something like that, contact a Superviser first, then me. Don't be afraid to speak up!

It is not school... It's College, it's pretty much what gets you into Uni after School, else you go get a job.

BTW everyone, I am the one taking up the deadfall map in my spare time, so if you have any question about the map, PM me please.

Much like the old Taco script. You could write stuff like this, you can write a novel if you like explaining the character's history, but no one was able to view it.

Who says other players won't be able to view it? Hmm? Besides, i was thinking of more "preset" backstories, to go with the models, basicly, it shows a small introduction of how your life was before the incident, when this all happens, which effects what you start with.

A Introduction, with each model, if it were. It won't indicate your whole past, just what you did as a job mostly.

Yeah, I prefer to write my own backstories. Anyhow, alot of this sounds cool.

It just sets you up with a partial backstory, to follow the model in deadfall. It doesn't say what type of person you were, or any real "history" only that you worked in a certain place at the time. This sets people off, being able to roleplay and build on top of that past.

The model can be changed by putting on a new suit of course, it does not last forever.

Aweseome get Deadfall up again it was Totally awesome but the crap was noone ever played on it and the script wasnt such good so go on and good luck Silver :D

Deadfall sounds good. With NPCS we don't have to worry as much about E-Drama and Powergaming.
