Well, 'hand' cannons are smaller, as are the cannon balls, and yeah they arent that accurate, but when they hit, they hit hard. But to make up for it we could combine hand cannons, with real cannons, and crossbows.

How is something overpowered if Everyone can use it? that's like saying "swords are OP when i want to Punch the enemy" And i'm tired of people who have no idea what they are talking about (Mostly you, geccoy) Saying that we are Over powered, when Our faction was Nerfed as hell, You know the british colonials, right? They Kinda Conquered most of America, (the french and spanish did too... but who cares about them.) we have 2 cities... That's 1 more then most, but not a ridiculous advantage. I really don't know how people keep thinkign we are overpowered, We use Tactics, and diplomacy to win most of our battles, hell, the last tiem we fought a real war was Tybolt's legion, ever since, we've Used Diplomacy, and tactics, and mafia-esque assasinations to get where we are, our guns rarely hit, and i try to encourage all Novarium soldiers to RP that their guns are Shit, And i do too.

I find it difficult to define the difference between "Medieval fantasy" and "Fantasy" Dwarves, elves, ogres, they weren't Around in medieval times, yet they can be grouped in with medieval fantasy? what about deamons? i suppose that could be included, what with their superstitioiuns. But i don't see how Humans, something that did exist in that era, With more advanced technology, could be considered Unfitting more so then the Other races, unless we have an estabalished canon, we could debate for hours what is mediebal fantasy, and what is fantasy.

I don't think you're overpowered. I just think it doesn't fit the style. Fantasy is different from british colonials, isn't it?

The reason people roleplay is to immerse themselves into a world that is different then their own. Atleast, that's why I RP. I, and many others, joined under the pretense of it being a medieval fantasy server, not a technologically advanced one. What if they wanted a kingdom, one with knights, and dragons, and peasants, and the lot? No cannons, or guns. Just a medieval faction. They couldn't, because they'd be swept away.

Fantasy came from old books and stories in the medieval times. Bed time stories that told tales of dragons and princesses, and wizards. When you put that in an RP context, "Medieval Fantasy", it means dwarves, elves, wizards, and demons, not coal powered ships, or guns.

Glad to see someone with pull is actually on the logical side. The whole steampunk thing was an element me and bobby ingrained into the server and I don't know about bobby but I asked a ton of people if they had a problem with the Steampunk variety of fantasy. None objected. I informed them we might have guns and subways and steamships. No one complained. In fact, when I started the DEAP with Arthy, no one complained then either. It just seems people like to dissent when they've realised it's not popular to be consistent and stick with your first opinion.

You're all grasping at threads trying to defend one genre from another, trying to explain why this doesn't fit here and why this isn't this or whatever. You need to get over it, all of you. It wont change unless the population dies off (Or something) If steampunk is dead, so is the server in my penny-worth opinion. Everyone who played (OR SO I THOUGHT?) enjoyed the element. I saw people making steampunk skins, enjoying Novarium and DEAP (Which were THE BIGGEST FACTIONS AND BOTH STEAMPUNK) and making comments about how both cities looked awesome. Saying that Aceon can no longer be Steampunk NOR magic is basically like saying "No roleplaying." No one wants to be a fucking farmer- No matter how hard you try to make them be one or how much you use to lure them into the job no one actually wants to do those shitty jobs. Steampunk added an allure to every job in Aceon, be it soldier, citizen, merchant, what have you. Without Steampunk (Ie. Technology) as an alternative the Powergaming of magic, the server is going to be shitty as hell and while I am super rambling at this point, I am genuinely enraged at the turn of events and no less than befuddled at the fight that has emerged from it.

There was, at no point, any discrimination between "Medieval" and generic Fantasy for this server. For the longest time it was just "Fantasy RP" and the reason people play Minecraft is so they can build things, just as the reason people RP is so they can be whoever they want. The straight outlaw of Steampunk brings the shaft to those players who want to play Steampunk (which is, undeniably, a Fantasy genre) as well as those who use magic which is restricted like some kind of godlike superweapon (Which it sometimes can be.)

All of you people are getting stupider. Silver Knight changed it for some reason, maybe he'll change it back for another one when the server population dips. Or not.

The fact that steampunk is now red-taped does not mean steam is forbidden. We just need to avoid the dystopian feel we maintained before. Steam will still be used, but in different ways and less often. Steamboats will always exist. It's legitimate technology.

I dont know about anyone else, but until the server is actualy reset and all our creations and work destroyed, Im going to be fighting tooth and nail to stop this. Its bullshit in its purest form.
