Backstory.


Centuries ago, Aceon was a Much larger Continent, Magic was Used freely by all the races, And Disputes were settled in battles of Honor. However, a man of immense power Faltered in his efforts to bring world peace, By Exterminating the other races, And allowing humanity to Rule the world without oppisition. His spell of death split the land, And half of Aceon separated. the spell sent both land masses drifting away from each other. as the  Eye witness inhabitants of Old aceon died, the story of the Other continent became nothing more then a children's tale. Centuries later, Aceon, whose political stabilitie was utterly destroyed by rumors of the Man's intentions. Now aceon is in chaos, With mutliple factions fighting for complete control. The New Continent, However, has not forgotten it's distant Brother. Named Novarium, After an ancient language for "New beginning." Is also in a state of War. The Humans on this land mass were strong supporters of the Man who seeked to ensure their dominance in the world. And they hold a hatred towards all Non humans. Racists in the truest sense of the word. The Humans of this Land Have forged An empire of their own. Novarium is Technologically superior to Aceon, having entered an Era of Enlightenment When The Emperor, A Powerful and charismatic warlord. Took leadership of the new world. The Emperor, A man who seemingly Appeared from nowhere, Has secretely Made Dark Deals with Forces not of this world- or aceon. These dark entities, demons, ghosts, the name is irrelevant, Have blessed him with Incredible insight, Though he Dare not make the Same mistake of using magic to achieve his goal, unlike his ancestor, The Emperor has trickled the information into the Private business owners of the Novarium Empire. And This has led to Many New Weapons, household items, and even methods of transportation. Though the political situation in Aceon may be Bad, Novarium is on the verge of Revolution, Human rebels join with the Dwarven republic, The Ogre Kingdom, The Elven Kingdom, And anyone, or thing, else that will aid them in their struggle to Stop the Emperor's Percieved genocide, To Keep up Morale, And distract from the Oppisition at home, The Emperor Has Commisioned Lord Admiral Dantius To Lead an Expedition to "The Old World." Novarium is centuries More advanced then the land of Aceon. The Expedition Benefits from Powerful Naval Vessels, which have sailed from far side of the world, Novarium, to Aceon, a distance no Local Vessel could Accomplish. The Expedition's arsenal Ranges from Swords, Bayonets, to Firearms such as The "Brown Bess" Musket, used by the army, and the Elliot gentleman Flintlock Pistol. They also have A small detachment of Canons, and a select few personel capable of using these canons. The Expedition's relatively Fragile Foothold In aceon, is Protected by a very small ammount of Novarium Soldiers and crew, However, their Firepower is enough to repel Most enemies. their base was Once a Secret, as they never left survivors. However, With the Construction of Their Star fort, "Fort Endurance" They can no longer remain completely Unseen. They have therefore Taken on a role as Relativly Peaceful, And No longer attack At random. They Are willing to trade with the Locals, and Seek a Diplomatic Approach to the Aceon Theatre.
The Lord Admiral has Left His main fleet At see, Anchored at a small island, Wilst sending "The Heart of Novarium" a Sailboat to Estabalish a Landing, Novarium is Willing to cooperate with the locals, However, any tresspassers into their Fort, will be caught by the Novarium Army, which is fully authorised to Kill,  beat, or do Anything they so wish to The tresspasser(s). A short wile before Novarium Finally announced itself to Aceon, Rumors had aroused of a monster living near the valley The Starfort is Neatly Nestled Beside, As noone who ventured that way was ever seen again. Novarium officials have Proudly claimed to have Killed this Beast, and hope that the Aceon people can rest easilly now.

Don't wander too far from the Cove, and if you're captured, die with honor, and don't say a word.

Seeing as the liklihood is we will be generating a new map I have decided to fully join the Novarium Expedition. I know we have spoken before but I could act as a sort of scout setting up a Novarium outpost a little away from the ship to make it easy for me to send back materials I collect while trading with the locals and perhaps setting up relations? I already have a scout type skin but if you have any preferences on a type of skin or different job I will accept it.

Bobby just wondering but why does our faction dislike almost every faction? Is it cause we are newcomers and being wary or because they all have principals our faction hates? Just curious oh and also you need to update the faction relationships (cause there are new factions) and the crew etc.

The color scheme, for once, is Changeable if you want, aslong as it isnt Orange, black, Blue, red, cause those colors are already Used by the other branches of Novarium, Hope you Like it. "robo body parts" we think exactly alike I was thinking of customising a robot arm but I would probably destroy the uniform in the process and purples ok so I'm fine on the colour

Ravenking factory is now partially operational with it's true purpose hidden from even Admiral Dantius himself. A piece of information was leaked by a worker about dangerous mechanisms and devices that were being used in the factory. An investigator infiltrated the factory in working hours and found no devices or tools that matched the description. The investigator made a report detailing all items that were used in the factory and concluded that the factory itself was a distraction and that there was more to the information than disclosed. Since then the investigator has dissapeared leaving many sceptical as to what is actually going on in Ravenking.

Quin told me when we allied with the Legion we broke the alliance. They wanted to destroy the Legion and if they had attacked then... After that it's really self explanatory but I think we might have angered a few factions by protecting the Legion.

wow, it's a bit overwhelming to think that this is all because of xsteve killing someone of Legion without reason. we took him prisoner. he joined us. he defected back to DEAP during attempted negotiation of a cease fire. war. loss...

I find it funny how quin doesnt seem to understand politics here, We did Nothing to break the Treaty. Play nice, don't wander too far from the Cove, and if you're captured, die with honor, and don't say a word. (I wont be biting peoples heads off for wandering too much, but please, stay within eye sight of the Ship, atleast.)
Keep the structures built very modest, we're newly arrived poorly equipped soldiers, not magicians and carpenters. All structres should be designed to appear either natural, or well hidden. Oh, and the empire –HATES- magic, and only use it in extreme situations.

well. it basically went like this:
The Lord admiral is walking past the merchant district billboard, and the map, when a Large ship pulls in, with several servants/slaves and Lord blair and geccoy's characters, emperor thanatos and Emperess hypnos, or soemthing, they make first contact for their faction, and Dantius notices that the emperess seems to be able to Sap the energy of the emperor, and manipulate him, The Emperor wants to make peace with Novarium badly, but The Lord admiral is appauled by their nation, which uses slaves, and hosts fights to the death, Not to mention is districted off and limits Peasant freedoms. The emperor and the emperess fight some more, and a Noble (comrade British) arrives, and helps the emperess, the emperor disapears after he is knocked out by the same type of spell, and the admiral is taken aboard the Ship. as it is leaving, the Emperor, and Colonel Grenellin arrive, and a brief Shootout from the merchant district raised road, They both board the ship, Meanwile, the Admiral is Unconcious on a bed, with a gun aimed at him by the noble. The Commodore, (hgnturkey) jumps onto the moving vesself from the heart of novarium, and all three Aim at the noble and The Emperess, who now has a knife to the admirals throat, they tell the noble he may leave if he surrenders, and he does so, enrages, the emperess Forces the blade into the admirals neck, Severing all the Arteries, He wakes up from the pain, and tries to fight back, as The Colonel presses a blunderbuss against the side of the emperess's head, and BLows her brains across the Wall, The Admiral dies Spasming Holding his throat. and they all return to VB.

I just looked up "fable 3 ravenking" To see what came up on google, Nothing. The Faction itself, Is A well blended mash of the british empire during the Colonial Era, the American war of independance, and the Napoleanic era, Aswell as A touch of Steampunk (that is actually quite primitive In alot of aspects, weaponry, for example.) And a Tiny Hint of the Imperium of man. This is Not based of Fable 3, though Novarium -is- Set in the Same sort of style and time, so i see how you got that idea.

Do remember we have open relations at the moment and have previously had good trading among us. Do you really want to start a war with a pure Army faction that could possibly be a future ally? It just confuses me.

I have no idea. I can't see a reason why we would attack unless something happened when I wasn't on. It's likely it's not legit, seeing as relations seem to be ok at the moment. Probably someone messing around. In fact I'm pretty sure it's not a Novarium sign seeing as Bobby or Negative would be a little more... proper. If they were issuing a war decleration, rather than nailing a board to your front door telling you we are going to kill you, they would probably do it by message if it wasn't a mutual war. Other than that it happens occasionally and it can be confusing when someone messes around like that. I explained OOC, we addressed the issue ICly aswell on the server. The sign may/probably will still bring up RP in the future. Don't jump to conclusions. Furthermore if we didn't put the sign there Novarium isn't going to turn around and tell them we did. It may have resulted in relations turning from whatever they are now to bad or even hostile, but it didn't so there the vikings understood what must have happened... They already had a hunch anyway seeing as relations with Nov have been good for awhile that we wouldn't just turn around and declare war on them.

starting from Novarium home, go towards Demonizer's general store, then follow that road strait to the end. You should see a bridge across water that you can hop across to a gravel path. Follow it. The portal is in the middle of the crater and lava. There is a safe path to get there.

If Novarium's current state is voided, I want to help build it up from the beginning and such. It's more fun than being in a town with civilians. If Novarium no longer cares about a diplomatic approach, I think it will change the architecture of how we are building (more military and less civilian) and stuff will be cooler. It would also give me a chance to be more involved.

If I am going to play a game, I want to get some fun from it. So hopefully I will be included.

I don't know if you know this or not, but before my MineCraft quit functioning, SK wasn't apart of the server at all. He had one house in Victory Bay that was never occupied, or torn down. Crussaria has fallen into oblivion, and nobody ever saw him, anywhere. They have no ground to stand on what so ever.

Yes, by wind powered i mean sails, and hand cannons because they existed in medieval times.

So do cannon balls.
You would probably have to carry around a couple to be of use.
They couldn't be very accurate, shooting wise.

Well, 'hand' cannons are smaller, as are the cannon balls, and yeah they arent that accurate, but when they hit, they hit hard. But to make up for it we could combine hand cannons, with real cannons, and crossbows.

They Kinda Conquered most of America, (the french and spanish did too... but who cares about them.) we have 2 cities... That's 1 more then most, but not a ridiculous advantage. I really don't know how people keep thinkign we are overpowered, We use Tactics, and diplomacy to win most of our battles, hell, the last tiem we fought a real war was Tybolt's legion, ever since, we've Used Diplomacy, and tactics, and mafia-esque assasinations to get where we are, our guns rarely hit, and i try to encourage all Novarium soldiers to RP that their guns are Shit, And i do too.
I don't think you're overpowered. I just think it doesn't fit the style. Fantasy is different from british colonials, isn't it?
If any faction can get cannons, big ships that use coal to move around quickly, and muskets, then, it provides a disadvantage to those who came here for medieval roleplay. Consider that as a chance for RP, the world is changing, and those who do not embrace the new ways are swept away, or some shit like that. any faction can get cannons, but they need to research them or buy them from someone who has them already, as of now, we're the only faction with them, and we haven't Abused them. Novarium isnt, and won't become the New Imperium of Hessan.
The reason people roleplay is to immerse themselves into a world that is different then their own. Atleast, that's why I RP. I, and many others, joined under the pretense of it being a medieval fantasy server, not a technologically advanced one. What if they wanted a kingdom, one with knights, and dragons, and peasants, and the lot? No cannons, or guns. Just a medieval faction. They couldn't, because they'd be swept away.
Medieval fantasy is the main focus of this server, not steampunk. Main focus, yes, but that doesnt mean it's entirety. to be honest, i don't have a valid point against that.
Steampunk is more advanced, and, hinders those who want to do a normal sword/board faction, with no magic or steampunk. Simple solution: Buy schematics from Novarium. Thats what the native americans did, they bought Firearms from the europeans.
That is why this is a medieval fantasy server, not just a fantasy server.  I find it difficult to define the difference between "Medieval fantasy" and "Fantasy" Dwarves, elves, ogres, they weren't Around in medieval times, yet they can be grouped in with medieval fantasy? what about deamons? i suppose that could be included, what with their superstitioiuns. But i don't see how Humans, something that did exist in that era, With more advanced technology, could be considered Unfitting more so then the Other races, unless we have an estabalished canon, we could debate for hours what is mediebal fantasy, and what is fantasy.
Fantasy came from old books and stories in the medieval times. Bed time stories that told tales of dragons and princesses, and wizards. When you put that in an RP context, "Medieval Fantasy", it means dwarves, elves, wizards, and demons, not coal powered ships, or guns.

It's not your call on what 'fits the style' and what doesn't. That's Black Star's call, really. He had no problem with Novarium so fucking drop it and stop raising your post count in an argument that has no ground.

I dont know about anyone else, but until the server is actualy reset and all our creations and work destroyed, Im going to be fighting tooth and nail to stop this. Its bullshit in its purest form.

EDIT: Even if it isnt reset I'll be ditching it anyway. ComradeBritish has seen fit to grief his tits off VIA burning my ships yesterday, and if people who I once respected are stopping that low, theres nothing left at HGN for me.

He left because he decided Novarium wasn't the faction for him. You don't need to question people who leave btw. The main reason was that he didn't really get into the faction. The other reason was he got a better offer from another faction. I think he only joined to test the faction to see if it was for him. Many people do that, questioning him makes no difference to whether he leaves or not. There explained!
