People have already tried the broadcast deal and it always turns out lame. Try to promote more passive rp since right now it's mostly action.

To be honest you've got a point. I like the broadcast idea, but there needs to be something else to do between that time. Scavenging is one thing, but I'd like to instead encourage players to live a post-apocalyptic town life of sorts. Hunting for scraps of wood and metal (doesn't have to be OOC items, just IC), fishing, hunting, etc... I had a pretty good deal going with the Commonwealth of Eden for a little while, but it fell apart due to my own negligence.

I was talking more about how I'd go to a town to talk to people and a big bandit raid of npcs disrupts us.

Oh well that works too considering we have a new assload of NPCs to play with far as I'm told.

I didn't mean do more raids with different npcs. I meant don't disrupt all the passive rp every time it starts by launching huge npc raids. It's supposed to be an rp not an rpg.

Plunger, I tried to back after fire storm. I tried for a month and it fell straight on it's ass. When I was done with Fallout roleplay I posted this thread. http://www.forums.hypergamer.net/fallout-dump/a-little-tip/

The one that stands out to me the most is this

Not everyone believes in the 80% citizen, because many now feel like they need to rob 24/7, and no one will fearrp, ex: A fully armored man, with a flamethrower and laser pistol walks up, and decides to take the role of a police officer (As in your profession idea) and stops a crime (Robbing). No one cares about him, and then he rply gets shot, haveing the better weapons and armour, he is still dead... What I am trying to say, is... No one takes commands from others unless in a faction...
****************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Did you even read this thread? Citizen rping basically means Passive rping.
****************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Yes, I am trying to say that that is highly unlikely, if you passive rp, you get robbed or killed, and that just sucks. I will most likely passive rp if I get my Pa, so atleast robbed less. so that means it will be easier to passive rp.

-----------------------------------------------------------

It's impossible to reach to these fuck nuggets. They simply won't passive rp. They need to constantly be fighting. If it ain't people they are stking with, it is npcs.

Second post because this post is a different topic.

No Pepsi god, you completely missed my main point. The sentence stating ". In Stalker, shooting 100% is justified because it is the zone where danger is the weather forecast" is a joke stating that the zone is dangerous. I didn't say LETZ HAZ WATHAR FORCST!!!!11111

Spades you sort of missed my point
My main point is that you treat Fallout rp like DnD.

Let me give you an example. Fallout newvegas dlc honest hearts.
This is how it would have been done if the server takes my idea. The admins write up a story line and how the story progresses. When they agree on the story line and progression, they go on the server and they build the server according to their story. When they are done, they advertise the DnD session on the forums which will state the day the session will begin. There will be a sign up process on the thread. This will tell the admins how many people are avaliable to rp on that day and they give a back ground. When the server is opened, people can get on the server 10 minutes before the event. Then the event begins. In a sense, this will be a massive event.

I took your post, and made a totally different conclusion. I know.
Loosely based off of your idea, mostly influenced by my own.

What I think would help is if someone coded a weather system into the game, It would make alot more role-play happen when traveling around the wasteland.

Tried it before, didn't work out to well.

SRP had it, it was just a color mod that made you go blind.

Other than that, if you can make a good one, go ahead.

Increase the bullet protection for Enclave Power Armor as canon states and I quote "The Enclave's scientists continue to do research on armor (e.g. the advanced power armor) and weapons after the War and thus are better equipped than the Brotherhood of Steel, who only have U.S. Military standard issue left over from when the Great War broke out." or nerf the protection of the BoS power armor.

Unlikely, considering the simple fact that this becomes more of a balance issue than a gameplay issue. We are not having totally indestructible Enclave or Brotherhood or anything ever again because that pissed a lot of people off in the past.

We're keeping the armor the way it is.

I never said that it had to be indestructible, I'm just saying you could give Enclave an up, because they ARE supposed to have better technological capabilities than the BoS, but in the server, they don't.

There's always the option of nerfing, but then it'd be too low, then there's the option of buffing, but then it'd be too high.

65% bullet protection was what I heard of BoS power armor, we only get something in the 40s, that's stupid. If you want your faction to win then don't rely on armor and weapons but tactics and strategy.  Armor shouldn't matter anyways, it's just in STK that it matters, Implying that giving the Enclave a simple buff or Nerfing the BoS would make one or the other indestructible is stupid.

Umm, yes they do. We don't have vertibirds, gatling lasers, tri-beam lasers, snipers, plasma rifles, plasma pistols, many of us don't even have a laser rifle, none of us have a laser pistol, and yet we still manage to beat Enclave in combat. Your point is becoming null.

The T-51b has 68% bullet protection, Hellfire is 50%, and T-45d is 63%, and Enclave Mk. II (standard issue) is 65%. I think the only one improperly programmed (or a typo) is Hellfire.

I think your point is now moot. Again, we're not nerfing anything or beefing anything up. It's fine the way it is.

It's also known as Roleplay, the stats don't matter much.

As for Canon to Fallout, everyone knows Enclave get their ass kicked.

Our power armour is actually 43% (The one we're using now)

Is it? Hm. There must be a typo in the T-menu.

Stand by on this, then. I need to double check everything for myself and test the bullet protection myself with a willing victim subject.

Hellfire needs more protection imo.
and gatling laser models. (svd fix would be cool too)

And the Enclave armor needs more armor and bullet resistance.

Various Sentry Gun, Robobrain and other NPC's. ALso more npcs roaming around the wasteland in general. Make it a tiny bit more dangerous by having a robot chasing you and etc.
Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves

Yea, if Hellfire has *less* protection than the other power armors, I see a problem there. Hellfire armor, in Fallout 3 anyway, was equally as strong as the T-51b--and up until Hellfire armor came out, the T-51b was the strongest in the game.

In that case, I'll see about getting this corrected then.

EDIT: Yes, I'm well aware that T-51b is pre-war technology. Don't ask me how it makes sense. I didn't write the canon.

Also, I've suggested to Exile that he get Deathclaws and robots as Tier 3 donation status. I've been personally toying around with the Sentry Bot model, but I have to use /animturn every time I want to make a turn. Otherwise, the rest of the animations work relatively fine.

T-51b is older than any enclave armor.

Thanks you for stating the obvious thing everyone knows.

+Yeah i agree with robobrains/some robots, would be awesome to RP as a robobrain/gutsy.
