So of you may agree that SWG was dead after their combat upgrade, but just recently, both LucasArts and SOE have agreed to end the 8 year long MMO.
On December 15th I believe, the servers will but fully shut down. All prepaid time and subscriptions will end in October, where for the last month and half will be a free to play for the EXISITNG accounts. There will be refunds for any time paid for that would extend over the date of it's death.
Supposedly there will be an End Event to let SWG go out with a bang.
Funny enough, I have an inactive account, "Goodbye half-assed bounty hunter, I will never remember your name."

There wasn't any rivalry from Galaxies.
How was there no rivalry? If there are 2 star wars MMOs of course there is rivalry. I know that LucasArts publishs them both, but they want all the old galaxies users to go to old republic.

Galaxies wasn't even a rival. Too lame. And TOR is WoW, maybe with fully-voiced dialogues, WOOOOOOW.
Wait.. since they are closing it on December, does that mean ToR will get released that time around ? Or ?
It was great before the CU- I don't know why they did that.
