Oblvion map
What looks bigger in your own opinion?
Certainly Cyrodiil.
It all depends my brothers, the size of the map may not equal with the actual size ingame.

Those maps are of equal scale. The borders align perfectly.
Now on the contrary, size doesn't necessarily matter. Now whether or not it is a more (or less) interesting map that Oblivion's map is yet to be determined.
Morrowind map anybody? That one was huge + addons.
They're part of the same continent, dumpass.

Even with a smalller land, Oblivion was filled with boring and repeated shit.
Skyrim hopefully has a more original look.
You also aren't accounting for physically bigger levels. If you have a mountain that is 1000000 stories tall and filled with rooms yet only have a map big enough to house that and a town then obviously it's going to look like a tiny world even though the explorable area is rather large.

Look at Fallout New Vegas and compare it to Fallout 3. Fallout NV had a smaller map however was more detailed and in fact was accurate to the map of Vegas (look it up). Fallout 3 however was pretty boring when outside dc.
Personaly, I love morowind, that's a really old but awesome game, it's one if the first games I got then I got Oblivion, I like morowind better.
