O.K. so, for those of you that don't know, there is a Virtual Reality gaming headset that is being made for the consumer, known as the "Oculus Rift". I see this as a huge step for engineering, and also for gaming.

It seems that a new age may be upon us earlier than we thought. hopefully, (and this will be a REALLY weeaboo statement, and I appologize as a recovering ex-Otaku) we will have VRMMOs like in "Sword Art Online" in sooner times than we expected! :D

So far what we have is ocular projection and head tracking. Not much, but still a lot. Imagine hackers coupling it with the connect once it becomes available. It'll be shitty for a while but because of that it'll become majorly advanced by people all trying to improve it.

I have known about this for some time now. It's very interesting and will probably by a gap filler techonology, as in someone sees it, looks at it and makes a better version.
