Now, I assume some of you don't care, but recently 2 MMOs I played a long time ago with some of my actual friends are going free2play.
The first is, Fallen Earth. A post-apocalytic MMO. Some would describe it as a Fallout MMO, but its not. It is more like a Mad Max/ Thunderdome MMO.
The second is City of Heroes, a game I once played back in 2005 to 2006. I made two characters, a hero and villain which were opposites.
Personally, these were the 2 games I hoped would go free2play. And this year they will hopefully get there.
In the transition months, those subcribed or planning to continue pay, will get veteran like rewards that are unique to paying players.
I also believe both will be full access for all, while those paying will just have extra services. Unlike Age of Conan's unlimited trial.
Well that's good news. Perhaps the end is near for pay-to-play games.
It would make my day if Wow went ftp.
Well, I'm glad Lord of the Rings Online is free to play. It's quite similar to Wow, even better in graphics and some of the gameplay.

I am thinking of getting fallen earth, It looks good.

I could make a list of the MMOs that are going f2p.
Or just don't care, since the two I wanted to go free have finally decided to go free.

I used to play CoH and CoV back in 2005, but the gimmicky updates ruined it for me.
I always looked at city of heroes but I thought that paying to play the game..with the way it looks wouldn't be a good idea.
Fallen Earth is pretty bad, as is City of Heros.

They never did say that..They just said they looked into it a little bit and if they were going to do it it
won't be any time soon.
