Debating whether or not I should buy this on PC or Xbox 360. All my friends are going to want to play it on Xbox, but there are going to be other games to play with them by that time. So I will most likely get it on PC. Not to mention I have a sexy new rig.

Command Rose, like in BF 2142 and BF 2. Hold Q for quick menu of commands, like needing ammo, medic, enemy spotted..
And spotting Enemy infantry is now placed on minimap. No red triangles following on screen. It was to easy with the red triangles on screen.

Admittedly, yes, snipers were a large problem. A problem for me and my rocket-sniping? Not so much.
The nade and rocket spam was annoying too. And the wonky hit boxes.
Although the like 4 times I actually got into a good BC2 game with everyone playing the objective it was really, really fun. But it just doesn't happen consistently enough to make dropping $60 on BF3 and putting up with its spyware worth it.

ArmA's an FPS what are you smoking? Do you view the game from a first person perspective? Do you shoot stuff? Then it's a first person shooter. It's more realistic than 99.9% of other FPS games on the market but that does not make it not a shooter.

You can play BC2 and MW2 in third person too Kieck. That doesn't make them nonFPS games. you are absolutely splitting hairs at this point.

FPS = First Person Shooter. ArmA is played in first person and you shoot stuff. FPS does not mean "Linear console piece of shit" by its definition; that's just what it has become due to consoles being shitty.

The flight models in ArmA and BF are nothing like an actual flight sim. Play Lock On Flaming Cliffs and then try ArmA or BF3's planes/helos and then try to say that BF3 or ArmA is a flight sim on top of being an FPS.

The single player is a bit disappointing.
I am playing it on Hard mode and occasionally my objective is to run into the opening to follow an Essential NPC.
I got shot twice and die.
Also, the enemies have a tendency to focus on you, the player, if you stick your head out for a second. Understandable and all, but really fucking annoying.
Is it just me or the NPCs really have super-laser-aim?
I know I said the SP sucks, and it sorta does, but just now I got around to MP.
And it was awesome. It really feels nice to me. A few issues here and there, but compared to Bad Company 2, it's so much better.
I never tried BC 1 or BF2. So I can't compare those, but from 1942, 2142, Vietnam, and BC2, this Battlefield is a wonderful multiplayer, and with buddies to help you, it could get even better.
Just got it;
Singleplayer isn't its best front -- by a long shot, but thats expected with a multiplayer focused game.
Multiplayer is very fun, and ranking is fun too as it feels there is a long way to go till your any good, I just wish there was more teamwork but that's what I get for having it on Ps3.
I thought the SP was fun. And that's all I really care about - having fun.
MP is also very entertaining to play, I have had quite a few moments where I was immersed in firefights or vehicle combat.
