It's a shame they couldn't create a version in the dub that was as interesting as the original.
It seems however, that there are multiple translations of the song. Dub, Vis Media, etc.
Even Koohei Tanaka, the composer who first designed and wrote this song, was asked about it in an interview, and he said that he tried to make it both lighthearted and sad at the same time. Quite many agreed that he had succeeded.
