Option 2: You decide to just stand there. Let the person bleed out because there's a medic on the way.
votes: 0
Option 3: Help the man the best way you can and call the others (if there are others).
votes: 28
Option 4: You decide to just stand there and not do anything or just walk away and let the poor guy suffer a slow death.
votes: 2
Option 5: Kill him instead. (He doesn't have shit)
votes: 3
Don't ask. Please just vote.
I for one, Am a very human Roleplayer, I hate non-human RP. So I voted the top one
I voted for:
"Help the man the best way you can and call the others (if there are others)."
Because I was that injured man, and it feels like shit when people just stand there.
I'd kill him if he had good loot.
Why this option isn't present?

There.
Voted to help him the best way I can. You save him, word spreads and they'll return the favor. Plus its just against me to leave someone dying unless theres no way to save them.
I don't get why there's two different things for "Helping him the best you can." But I voted for the first one that said help.
I know what this is about... Anyway I picked the first one, help him the best you can...
I voted for Kill him. Put him out of his misery if he's severly wounded.
"Help the man the best way you can. (Anyone can bandage a wound)"
is different than
"Help the man the best way you can and call the others (if there are others)."
because you call for others after applying a bandage or whatever, instead of just leaving him their after you applied a bandage.
I took a quick glance at the votes and chose the call for others.
A rookie who knows shit about first-aid can't stop bleeding, so he can call others to help him.
It's like in real life. You don't try to save one person while rest dies, you call an ambulance and help most of them how you can.
My char would help him,but he isnt medic or something,so he helps him with bandages and then call for help.
Typically, I would gather my medical equipment, fix him to a stable state and then wait for others to come by and assist.
Why?
Because it's my job.
Its funny because if you aren't a medic or doctor you'll probably fuck it up and kill him.because apparently everyone on hgn has no idea how actual injuries work.

"Help the man the best way you can"
Learn to read before posting, please.
Learn to read before posting smirnoff, I said no one at hgn knows how injuries workthus greatly exaggerate how best they can actually help someone. Everyone assumes for some reason that even with absolutely no medical experience that their qualified to remove bullets.
And how exactly do you know all this?

He had a lot of time to notice that, it's true however.

better question is why dont you know this.
Plunger here is right.
Somehow everyone can remove a bullet without any fucking experience or medical training.
Hohoho, and what if the artery is cut ?
I have no knowledge in injuries so I always try to avoid Medic RP.

This thread is a discussion on how characters from different people will respond to a specified situation.
It's NOT a thread for open discussion about medical knowledge of the server.
If you wish to discuss this, I suggest you make a thread and sit down and have a chat in it, not this one.

That's kind of dumb. Obviously those who would want to help the person the best they could would also call for help.
As someone with actual first aid training, stopping the bleeding is so easy any idiot can do it (basically put bandage on red stuff and hold until it stops bleeding is the tl;dr version of First Aid). Doing surgery and removing bullets, that should only be attempted by pros.
Just becuase your not qualified to remove bullets doesnt mean you cant try. Thing is people should rp being ill experienced in the medical field.

Wouldn't you think? But still 1/3 of the votes go towards just bandaging him.

Kieck gave a infection vicodin, I WAS LOLING. I was like, AMITHEONLYONEWHODOESNTFAILHARD?
General Aid is a simple thing to understand, and your average Stalker should have the experience to take care of minor wounds.
We are in a dangerous territory, I think a good amount of characters understand basics forms of treatment.
Also, bullet retrieval can be easy or dangerous, it depends on location of the bullet and how deep it may have penetrated. If it went straight through, it be better.
And you all must remember, Medical RP depends on both the Wounded Player and the Player giving a treatment.
Most wounded players I see just let the 'doctor' do all the Roleplay. So it depends on both sides.
Thing is, anyone can help a wounded man. Be it by using a bandage and bandaging the wound to stop the bleeding, or just ripping your shirt and using it instead of a bandage (if you don't have one.)
The percentage of our player base with a degree in human physiology and mid-level surgical skills above that of whatever amount of grade school Science projects and Health classes is roughly 0.3%, if even that high. Hell even boy scouts and national military BFR (Battlefield First Responder) courses dont teach the know-hows to remove bullets without causing potential (and often times) additional damage to the injured person(s). And on top of bullet wounds and mild to severe lacerations, I also categorize knowledge of Pharmacology to be lower than ass in the player base. (No offense to any college go'ers studying Medical.) It's a game, we're here to have fun and pretend we're people we are not, and never will be, in a world of make believe. If you want to be a 'Doctor' or at least a medic of some sort, then by all means do it. You can find the basic information you need to work off of for roleplay, right through your damn search engine of choice. Now perhaps this 'potential' argument and 'potential' Flame-War waiting to happen can stop right where its at and return to the topics main point, which is the poll. Take a vote, tally it up, and discuss it after it's shut.
And for the ones who are too lazy to read (tl;dr): Play doctor if you want. You can use a band-aid, congratulations.
My character has some medical experience after working alongside his father in pharmaceutical research and production as a young apprentice, he was an ambitious chemist. He got signed to be a DUTY medic so I'd have the skills capable to stabalize him; I went for the option that reflects this.

The one for bandaging is first.
Many of us are too ADD to read the rest of the options. :(
