Well, I came back to SRP

And wondered why it was so empty all of the time. There were seven people, including I, when I got on. I asked ThY if my old donations were still counted, at which point I was re-granted my benefits which was nice of him. I wondered around the map, roleplaying happily to myself for a long whilst, until I realised nobody was there to read what I was typing.


I looked all over the map for people, checking every room, pipe and whatnot. Best part was, when I did find people, the only two people on the server at this point, I got:

I genuinely believed he was poking fun at HGN's policy of "apply or gtfo", but he wasn't. I was then basically treated as a third class citizen and told off for this and that.


This isn't an complaint about the one person, but more of something I wanted to say. A lot of people playing on this server have a little bit of a desire to talk down to 'new people' or just anyone in general. It was quite sad that, when a server is losing popularity, the players on said server don't attempt to change anything.

Honestly, this last part is more directed at the administration team, how much do you wish to restrict your server(s)? I know many of you put a great deal of time and effort into this masterpiece, the coding, models, mapping, but why do you hide the best that is has to offer?


Things I've noticed are restricted:
/charfallover command
wearing suits that you find I.C.
factions (yeah okay I get that one)
physguns & propspawning (these two can give players things to do on downtimes)
toolguns
using certain guns
entering faction bases (this is just silly)
being female
being different in any way (non-ukrainian)


I'm guessing there are a lot more to list than this, but it's rather silly, when allowing people to have this is no real bother.


Do correct me if I'm wrong, but restrictions are a bad thing, no matter where in the chain you lay.

Basically picking at the server for the silliest of misunderstandings and hoping you get people to agree with you, this is just... I don't know how to say it without saying the word silly again.
