So, I come back, and I get onto the server, and all my characters are gone. Ok, no big deal, right? I try and make a new one, but I can't. I guess there's supposed to be a character model thing that's supposed to pop up so I can choose the look, and it doesn't show. What now? Just don't play?
So I try again, and just out of curiousity, I tried to make a male character. It works. Sexism much?

The zone is a male dominated area.
All female characters must be applied for.

Like I said the zone is a male dominated area. We had too many females going around and being ninja/1337/lesbian-whore-specialists/who aren't afraid of anything.

Why don't you just force everyone to apply, that'd be fair then.
If you had a character before that was female, I'm sure it won't be that hard to apply for it.
Honestly, its just there to cut down on any sort of rape or cybering. We all know, a good amount of people here can't handle playing a game with chicks.
But it's not only intrusive, it's also unjustified, and tedious.
Then I suggest you take it up directly with Exile, not the whole forum.

What's wrong in applying ? Less people using Females to get cool items. And also it makes the Zone to be how it was ment.

good day and welcome back to the server now please lock this thread up because this thread is going to end up causing alot of useless conversations.
Just because some people requested the applications, doesn't mean that everybody wants them. And just because I'm the first to complain, doesn't mean that no one has a problem with them. And what do you mean, 'how the Zone was meant to be'? Just because the games didn't have them, doesn't mean that there were no females in the Zone. I did a bit of research and I found two schools of though; First - "Personally, I think that GSC took advantage of that so they wouldn't have to worry about modeling females or hiring female VAs.", Second - "Putting aside the general (and safe, given the lackluster quality of the game) assumption that the devs at GSC were just lazy/incompetent, let's keep the conversation purely "for fun..."
Maybe the women disguised themselves as men so they'd get equal treatment. They're in it for the money, danger and same things that the men are in it for. However they're afraid traders and macho-types might not let them in on the more dangerous missions that could come with equally greater rewards. So they do what they have to do to get in on the action.
Of course some stalkers and even entire groups may welcome a female despite her gender as long as she can benefit their cause. However a woman wouldn't have any way of knowing who would or wouldn't ahead of time, so to play it safe she'll pretend to be a man until she can trust those around her and she's earned their respect with her skills.
I think most of the opposers of the theory are thinking in terms of placing just one woman (or just a few) into STALKER in the current condition of the game, which is 100% male. However if you put enough women into the population that they are no longer a tiny minority, it could easily work. Hell, I'm pretty sure most of us can imagine women getting together to form a women's only faction and it could easily be the most merciless faction in the zone. You'd think twice before trying to take advantage of a woman if you knew THEY were going to come for you, especially after word gets around the Zone about which part of the male anatomy these women will cut off when they catch you."

Yeah unless you are to lazy... To be honest I am glad we have female app and nationality app since there is isnt mainyl females in the zone and if there is the usally disguise themselves to avoid constant rape. Also so we dont have millions of woman all over. Also I rarely meet any female characters that disguise them. Also the application limits things and organizes things. So just apply it is really easy. Also I doubt there is that many people who want no application, mainly only you. I find this whole thing very silly to be argueing over. Also there is females in GSC stalker game cannonly but just very,very few. Since one of these stalker leaders if you talk to him he will say he went to the zone to chase after this girl. Since I garntee we will have tons and tons of woman and to many that there would only be two dudes. I think applying is easy and it isnt that hard to get adcepted also Female faction, I sense a major major major rape orgy. Also I doubt many women would want to go to the zone. So indeed lets put the chain and lock on this baby..

Take it up with Exile. We had issues with idiots creating female characters and playing them like they were super elite ninja badasses who doesn't afraid of anything and were usually used to powergame horribly. And it caused issues when there were 90% female to male ratio when the Zone is full of men canonly. You just need to talk to an admin to get the rec since you are a long time player I'm sure it won't be a problem.
And you still won't be able to actually choose a female character iirc (or at least I haven't figured out how to).
Also, as I stated before, it deters the annoying kids of GMod from doing anything. Since, a good amount of players never met a chick in this game and wouldn't handle it.

Side note, I've only seen one Female Character Powergame, and what everyone is saying, "Isn't affraid of anything" sort of, Is Nitro's Character Halo, Every other Female Character was like the rest. It's not just because of people making ninja female assassins (since people make ninja male assassins too) it was also the huge numbers of unrealistic female characters (lesbians, and yes that isn't unrealistic but when 4 out of every 5 females is one (and making a stink about it due to cybering and shit it gets to be a problem), ninjas, etc). It's easier to create a weeabo unrealistic female than a male simply because most members of this community are prepubescent males with no idea how the female mind/body works and it gets annoying.
I do not agree with the fact that you cannot create a female char, BUT However it was me who created the apps because we had Bi/Lesbian Ninjas, when in reality its not extremly common for every single female in an area to be Bi or lesbain, which is annoying because it ruins the realism of the game, Since you are a long time player getting recc for it shouldn't be hard, and making an app shouldn't be hard either.
So, by making a big stink about this, you're effectively saying "Im too lazy to fill out an app".
