According to the Stalker in-game description, stalkers put Urchins onto their body, using the spines on the artifact to keep it on their body.

+20% Radiation.

For some reason it's a bloody rare artifact, I've only come across it twice in the whole of Stalker ShoC and yet it sucks.

All the positive artifacts are equally rare.
Kolobok, Mama's Beads, Spring, Battery, Battery2, and Pellicle.

It's in an anomaily at Lake Yantar in SoC. You can find it NE of the chopper.
