I came to The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone to escape the law, that's why. I ain't a bad guy, but sometimes you just have to do something you will regret later. I regret what I did already.

DAY ONE:

So, I have arrived to the Zone... I can't even describe this place. It's like a place from my childhood nightmares. With that I mean... It's gloomy and...and all those strange sounds... Also, this place is so empty. I didn't meet anyone or anything today, and that might be a good thing. I'm not that interested in meeting the residents of this place... On the other hand, some company would be nice.

When I arrived to The Zone, I was scared. I can't describe the feeling in any other words. I loaded my Makarov that I bought from Kiev and started walking forward. I was nearly killed immediately by anomaly, and I was bleeding badly. I lost a lot of blood... How didn't I realize I should have used a bandage? I walked somewhere (I cannot remember anything) and finally fell down near a tree. I think this is the part where I lost consiousness. I woke up a few hours later, and I guess I was lucky to be alive. I was more careful from that point on and started to explore my surroundings. Nothing of interest in this area, but I'll stay for some time, in case someone walks by.

I don't want to sleep, but I guess I have to. I'm so lonely...

How do you know that you were nearly killed by radiation? Radiation doesn't usually have immediate effects and if it does happen, there's hardly any chance that you will survive it.
