Title: SWEP REVAMP

The Philosophy: Every first shot is an almost guaranteed hit. The general accuracy of all the weapons will be closely the same. This will add some realism and more balance to the weapons. After the first shot, the weapon will start to fire unpredictably - the control on your weapon degrades very fast, and after three to four shots, your bullets and accuracy are out the window.

This method will encourage burst firing at medium to long ranges, while relatively unaffecting close range combat. It will also improve the quality of STM fights, reducing the chance of 'accidental' hits.

The goal is to make it feel like no weapon is absolutely more powerful than another, but rather a balance. Certain weapons will have advantages over eachother, and some will be generally lower-level and performance weapons (very select few). Basically, what is trying to be achieved is taking away the concept of 'tiering up' and replacing it with user preference.


Exact stats and changes will not be displayed. HOWEVER, I know that you are wondering about a few things.
*All weapons have been revamped to better portray their Shadow of Chernobyl counterparts or real-life counterparts if the former is unavailable.
*All weapons have received a general accuracy buff, to an extent. ----> Pistols are now usable.


I'd like to thank Tom for starting the project, and handing it off to me. More stuff is in the works.

This is brilliant now if your fighting those npc zombies you can actually hit them with a pistol without being next to them :D

My only gripe is the way the SWEPs are set up now, it conflicts with the headshot multiplier of the server.

As in, an AN-94 headshot (one round) isn't lethal. The multiplier is only set to 2x damage far as I know. However, at 2x damage, it still does 72 damage on a headshot. Nearly lethal. I'd like to see it raised just enough to make rifle headshots deadly again on unarmored targets.

However the flip side of this is now STK fights are more balanced than just who can get a lucky headshot. Even if critically wounded, you still stand a chance. I survived a hit long enough from Goose headshotting me to take out half of his Dutier squadron with my new SVD. <3



Also no, the SVD isn't overpowered. I was just smart in not being a CoD "sniper" and standing in one spot forever like a brain-dead deer in front of an oncoming train. A good sniper is about stealth and evasion and only shooting when it will make the shot. Not just shoot the target with a big gun until you hit it or it finds you.

Are you serious, this buffs controllers so much now. I think I'm going to have fun if headshots only do 72 now instead of 500+
