The radar is not finished. If you don't like it, use the convars:

If you want a mini radar, try the settings of
rp_pdamatscale 200

and if you really hate the alpha radar
rp_pdamatscale 0

Also, fixed the PDA showing people in observe, you don't get a radar with no PDA, and only people with a PDA show up on it. You can see people behind you again. And the chat box has been moved down so it is above the reload/health boxes, but below the radar. The box is not any larger than it currently is, if you hate the stalker UI you can remove it with a console command.
I have a fix for the TOZ clip size, and the price on it may be dropping in the next week or two. Just a warning so you don't lose all the money you spent on it.
EDIT: Optimized the pda check by keeping it in the item, also made /bc work for all players with a PDA.
Maybe make it so that if you are a Loner / Stalker / Dutier / Freedomer then Milis , Monos and Bandits appear as red?
And maybe add friend list so friends appear as green dots on the radar?

Maybe just something simple where you can set certain people to show up on your radar as green, and if it's an individual you wish to avoid, then set it to red.

Yeah, maybe move it just under the radar, or to the side of it.

I probably wont make it moveable with a convar since it is tough to get the chat box and material to line up properly when its static. The box will *probably* be moved to the lower corner once I get everything in the lower left moved to the right.
Could you raise the total character limit, or is that something out of your control. I hate making an epic speech, and getting cut off.
That is a limit of the Source Engine. There are ways around it, but they are laggy and often quite glitchy. Sorry mate, nothing we can really do atm.

We have a new suit system. You currently are unable to see the stats, but it looks something like this:
ElectricScale = .5
BurnScale = .7
AcidScale = .5
PsiScale = .5
DmgScale = .7
RadiationScale = .5
Now each time you take damage, your damage is multiplied by these stats. All of these are based on stalker, and we may end up changing the prices of suits in order to properly reflect the new value of suits. Now as you can see, this opens up the next path of things to create. We are setting up a new artifact system that works with the damage types. Once that is done we have new anomalies, auto anom spawner, and making the artifact spawner work with the new system.

The system is a mix of RadBox's and the current weather system. It works with indoors (sort of.) Hopefully a clock will be setup shortly for the radar. The day is generally as short as 4 hours, or can be made as long as 24. For now I am looking at about the 4-6 hour range.

Due to limitations from the source engine, lamps do not work very well in this new dark. You only get that super dark for 3-4 hours (ingame). I just wanted a time of day where stealthy shit could be done, and stalkers would wanna stay inside. But if we went realistic NV is £2000 GBP on average... thats for decent NV.
That would be 88000 rubles silly. And either way, this is just for the gen 1 NV.
Hmm. My point is, we should keep NV goggles on a limit, so that stealth will be a massive asset on the server.
My point is that people like to see. New stalkers and the like will not have night vision, but stalkers that have been around the block will easily obtain it. The idea is that players are meant to go through a process while getting money.
Pistol -> Basic Needs (bandages, soon to be anti-rads and shit ) -> Utilities (radio pda NV rope ) -> Rifles -> Suits/Artifacts
People will have a lot on their plates before they get around to buying NV.

Hostel and I had a very long discussion about anomalies earlier. I am working on adding lights, but these lua particle effects don't seem to like light.
Personally, this either needs to be done in lua, or with the map, no in between. I can make them function properly with with some of the future plans that Super has been making. The only thing I can't do, and you can take this either as a con, pro, or neither, but I can't make the artifacts random, or change locations. What I can promise is that it will be just like the system from Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat where as the anomalies are in fixed, bundled locations across the map.
What can be done with lua and the map together is the artifacts. Basically, Super can make a SENT that I can use in the hammer editor. Super could create a SENT for each anomaly that will be in the map, for example, a SENT called "artifacts_burner" which when placed in the map by me and will be properly used by the script when the map is ran on the stalker server and will spawn artifacts that only come from the burner.
I find that to be the absolute best solution. It will run the best by far, and will look better. The only downfall, if you consider it one, is that anomalies don't change locations, much like they do in Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. Weigh your options. There will be plenty of other eventful changes, so this won't ruin the experience. I will probably be making 4 versions of the map that each have their own time of day; morning, midday, evening, and.... NIGHT. That should be eventful enough.
Updates: Artifacts are now invisible in close range. Also, character deleting is being STUPID.

To start it off, we have randomly spawned artifacts. Every few hours, an anomaly is chosen to produce a random artifact. There must be more than ten people for this to happen.
Damage anomalies (as you may have noticed ) are now wiped and randomly respawned every few hours.
The suit system:
Suits are separated in multiple tiers, each using similar stats and sharing the same amount of artifact pockets.
Tier 0: Rookie Suits - No pockets, almost useless
Tier 1: Trench coats - Slightly better protection, still no pockets
Tier 2: Merc Suits - Currently using three pockets, basic protection.
Tier 3a: Stalker Suits - Two pockets, average protection
Tier 3b: SP-99 Suits - One pocket. Very small amount of bullet protection, one of the best anomaly protection suits. Must be bought from those blue bastards.
Tier 4a: Berill - Two pockets, better bullet protection than Stalker Suit, but slightly worse anomaly protection. You may be mistaken for Military.
Tier 4b: Seva - Three pockets. Bullet protection around Tier 2-3, but nice anomaly protection. Said protection is lower than the SP-99 though.
Tier 5a: Skat - Well rounded suit of the final tier. 3 pockets
Tier 5b: Exo - Very nice damage protection, soon to allow you to carry more weight (talk about that later ) merc suit level of anomaly protection. 3 pockets
Tier 5c: Universal Protection Suit - Radiation protection higher than the SP-99, but with lower anomaly protection. Damage protection slightly worse than the berill. 3 pockets.
Unique Suits - These are rare suits that cannot be bought from a menu. Meant only for special characters, faction leaders, and to be used as reward for incredibly long events (talking events lasting over a week or two.) They often have positive and negative effects that are not listed, and can do things like making you harder to see, allowing slightly faster run speed, surviving blowouts, etc. These often come with a high price, especially in the higher tiers (ie, an exo with health regen would have far worse negative effects than a rookie suit with the same effect.)

Weather - The skybox is not changing properly, and I think someone is setting the time to a negative value or over 1440 (thusly breaking the sun.) Also, looks very cheesy from indoors. A fix should soon be implemented.

Stamina - We now have three speeds. Walk, Jog, and Sprint. Walking allows for faster stam regen, jog is the normal movement type, sprinting is a full out sprint. You cannot sprint sideways or backwards.
Stamina Items - Sparklers and Flashes will be modifying your sprinting bar instead of speed now! Energy drinks should do stuff!

Controllers - Controllers have the ability to disorient you as you get closer. So don't get close. They may also make your screen zoom in and out at random, they can control your finger (ie, they can you press your trigger.) Their last ability is only to be used at close range, but they can indeed do the zoom from stalker. It does Psi-Damage.

Weight - There may be a limit on how much you can carry soon! Also, the amount being carried will effect how much stamina you have, and exos will be able to carry more. Traders will be unaffected by this change

You still keep your old armor, meaning immune to everything to an extent.
