Or does it seem like alot of people are trying to make their own factions so they can have waht they want specificly, have more power then just joining a group, etc?

Not to call everyone who has a non-stalker canon faction power thirsty or anything, but just by looking around the factions forum and hanging out ingame a few times, i've notied something.

Too many factions, not enough people.

I also thing Factions could be a BIT more of a temporary position, seeing as how if some one was infiltrating the duty base then everyone else would go duty so that it was, you know, not 2 duty people and a buncha inisible people. But that's just me.

Anywho, think people should get into the more known factions and have those decently populated before everyone runs off and makes their own group.

Exact same problem on servers i played in back in like 2004, The Specialists RP.  There were like 4 criminal factions and 3 cops.

I agree, It seems at times the major factions are outnumbered by the small player made factions.

You're lack of major faction memebers... Disturbe me.

But  truth be told, these "player made" factions are mainly bandits from the looks of it. It's annoying as fuck!To all those whove playd the stalker games, dont play the game to beat it, hang around and you'll see a whole lot of tuff, that if you had an IQ of 50 you can pull off in game. This would also make it a bit more cannon unlike the "sign language" bloodsuckers.

The more annoying thing is, all these "faction territories" being set up for MINOR AND NON IMPORTANT playe factions.  Banits seem to be th main "faction idea" going all around. This upsets the balance of Bandit to Loner ratio, bandit are numerous yes. Their stalkers whom are "outcast" from the loner groups due to robbing or murdering another stalker.

I wouldnt say so, i see many freedom, duty and military people. Ecos rarely, but traders often aswell. Maybe most of the players dont want to post applications to do something in RP..? Id suggest a way to join factions in RP purely..

I tried the other night, Duty kept telling me to fuck off after posting an advert about recruiting lol.

Could just have them take you into their base, sit ou down, hand you some forms (in rp) and then you can go to the forum via Steam Community tab's web option and apply on the forums there. Then when your done, hand him the forms in RP and be on your way.

Well i think player made factions should be kept to a minimum, loners should be a faction, as they are shown in CS.
To enhance the roleplay, people should just participate with other factions, if your not suitable to join the faction you want, side with one as some sort of Liason or something.
Thats my thought.

well yo should RP icly however your character is. My Char vladmir is an ex military man so of course Military would be most likely suited for him. people who cannot find a faction that suits them make up their own factions to try and compensate.

But to many factions just gets unrealistic... i mean i can understand small groups like Streloks party in the actual game, but a full scale faction...
My character is Millitary too, hes ex spetsnaz from the russian army, so im seeking to join the ukranian army.

No, you shouldnt.   You should play you'r character howerver the personality and, common sense depects it. In this case, along with video game cannon.. Which is lacking D:

Imo

No new players trying to make a faction so they can have power, you must at least be in the community for a month or a few weeks.

I would like to see Loner Groups like Streloks party, just not the same idea around it.
