Oh no, Lachance is dead, make a new character. I hate to be a dick, but you're whining/crying/complaining way too much. This PK wasn't completely fair, no, but you even agreed to it several times.
Also, you were undercutting. This completely removes competition from the atmosphere, as one trader is suddenly rich and can willing cut into his own profits just to boost his popularity. Let's also not forget that your base was often within view of spawn, which is also another "word of mouth" rule. You don't set up shop right next to another trader, it's common courtesy and for the betterment of the whole 'faction' if we tend to spread out.

Feh, I really don't think we should've done that event a second time, it went terribly.
On a similar note to Dutch's, having one trader who does sell things at a really low price may be good to the people buying, but it can ruin the economy a good bit and get the other traders to really hate you for taking costumers.
And people who overprice just get less customers compared to the traders who sell a little cheaper 8>

If you piss off other traders by selling at cost you deserve to be PK'd. You risk their ire by doing it and it caught up to you. That's what PKs are FOR
And yes there is no trader's union but you should still sell at reasonable prices. I mean I undercut the buy menu prices on guns STALKERs sell me (ie I'll pay a little extra to a STALKER for an L85 but instead of using the Sell tab I'll hold onto it and sell it for cheaper than the normal cost but still high enough to make a profit to another guy). That's just good business. But selling stuff at cost to everyone just for fun is going to wreck the economy. And most traders I've seen only mark up a small amount anyway, I haven't seen any like 2x the price traders (though Ares is pretty bad).
Well, that's minus one trader, I wonder who'll be next.
