It's been several years since the incident, that unholy event which changed my life, our lives, the world, forever. On that cloudy night, the rain pouring, i watched on the tv, reports coming in, about some kind of rabis which infects humans, i shook it off as being one of those random events, but i was wrong, very wrong...
Now the world is somewhat empty, of humans that is, what remains now is the living... dead a marker of human kinds failures and destruction, forever masking the beauty of the earth with shadow and dismay. Creatures walk the earth, we are forced to hide, live and survive off what we can find, most of the time the creatures are just normal changelings, you know, zombies in the films, except fast, very fast... the infection doesn't take long to spread once they bite you, you become one of them. The Scourge, the enermy, the neverending undead.
The world has changed, a smog like mist now covers and lines the sky, the tree's rotten and decaying, the lakes, drying up, the world is a barren wasteland of torture, we the remaining prisoners, are whats left, as far as i know, people are split up all over the place now, the military are still operational, now theres bandits, raiders, and a couple of enforced towns, i don't know what it's like elsewhere in the world, im in France, i hear that the united kingdom is holding up against the horde still, and Japan, America got hit pretty hard, and of course, the whole of europe too, no place is safe.
You would think America would have held up pretty nicely, with all of those firearms that they have, we don't have much in the way of firearms, it was never legalised here, but the imports from spanish merc's soon sorted out that problem. So what does one do in this place? well you load your firearm, grab your trusty melee weapon, whatever they are, and hope you find some food to last you another day.

18-14/4/12 - Multiple corpses found in unrelated areas, FBI suspects homacide but no suspects.
20/4/12 - Several schools in New York and surrounding states are forced to close for several days after hundreds of children fall ill. Flu blamed.
21/4/12 - More schools close
22/4/12 - A large number of infected children and elderly die.
24/4/12 - Infection spreads, Hospitals begin to report over twenty's with similar symptoms.
30/4/12 - Death toll rises in the hundreds.
31/4/12 - Hospitals all across the country overflow.
1/5/12 - West and Eastern Europe report similar cases.
4/5/12 - Riots break out across New York.
5/5/12 - Riots spread across surrounding States.
6/5/12 - National Guard are deployed to lock down New York.
6-8/5/12 - Riots break out across the country, Europe also announces riots of it's own.
9/5/12 - The United States withdraws it's forces from Iraq and Afganistan.
11/5/12 - Mass panic grips the United States and a state of Emergency is declared.
12/5/12 - Rioting continues, tens of thousands are reported to have been killed in the United States alone.
14/5/12 - Major News networks fall silent.
15/5/12 - The United Kingdom and Ireland close their borders, quarantine docks, lock down Airports and deploy the Army to guard the Channel tunnel.
30/1/13 - Present day.
