A simple question, What Roleplay Theme Do You Want?
Don't say Crussaria, Stalker etc, we are already doing them, although you can show support here if you would like. What i want to know, is idea's for a new theme, to get to know what you guys are looking for, be it city vampires, bug rp or zombie infection. I leave this topic here for you to discuss, bring on the idea's !

Hmm...see i've thought about Zombie survival before but in the end all anyone is really doing to do is grab a gun, shoot Zombies and then make an inpenitrable barricade.

i got a few, NAZI ocupation of France, you could have the resistance and SS flags etc..., Stalins rule over russia in the 40's-50's, secret police flags etc or South Africa during the apartide, there pretty interesting points in history i think would make good RP

I don't see that much interesting about WW2 roleplay. it will just be dm, explain otherwise, what rp could come put of it?
WEll I don't want to be nerdy but maybe a Star wars rp? YOu could chose your race and dpending on what the map looks like that could be the planit your on like Tatooine. There could be a Rebellion Faction. Empire faction. Some bussiness I think it could work out nicley.
well, i was going for the oppressive rule of the combine, but a real world example, it wouldnt be DM if you made guns rare and hard to get, people would actually roleplay + ask prince harry for a NAZI uniform if you want skinning referances

I see so the Nazi's are the combine like force, the french the citizens, and the alied troopers the rebels. I see alittle bit of roleplay in that, but it depends what you guys want, we shall see.

I keep getting the thought of battlegrounds in my head, which turns me off, then i see jedi knight, im just not sure how it would work out, so many different races, and the general scheme of star wars is about deathmatch, opposing forces vs each other.

Yeah, but it still would be cool if there was maybe a little area for the factions to collide if it was planned and then there be most of the area a town where everyine will rp for the most part. When i think of it i think of that town on Tatoine and the area as a small battle ground.
there wouldnt have to be allied troops, France is a big place you know, the NAZI's held it for a few years without too much worry.

Well, alot of models are already in gmod, but not many people have DOD:S and the maps, well they don't even exist for a ww2 scheme, let alone a roleplay themed map. What features would you say this roleplay scheme needs?
I'd say fallout RP, Based in some post apocalyptic wasteland or something. Not necessarily fallout but something like that so there are some guns but not that many to stop DMing

Halo would all be pew pew but it would be fun. Ive beat every halo game on legendary so you could say im a fan of the series.
Models would be too hard to get for ME, Halo wouldn't really work.

It seems to be favourable, i can see actual roleplay happening in that.
tbh instead of new ideas we need to keep working on the old ones. we cannot get silver to make everything. i know there is other lua programmers but a decent size scripting team should be at least 3 people

Im liking the Star wars idea. It sounds neat. Download like a Spacebuild map with planets that have stuff, Empire get BIG MAFUCKIN ships, trying to convert people and the Rebels try and convince people to join them instead. but cooler. with Siths, Jedi, wookies and uhhh... cool stuff like that

Why is it that when people start thinking of new RP ideas they always have to quote the name of a game or a movie?.. Need to think of something that isnt BASED on anything for once..
Theres all sorts of wierd movies out there that involve monsters, and people just trying to survive... Wether it be post apocalyptic or just plain zombies. But for an RP to be less DM you need most Players on the same side. Children of men is a good idea, but the Police forces would get oppressive I think... and theirs nothing else to do... HL2 is Imminent in that RP Dont get me wrong, would be fun if the Police had the Black market to deal with

Im considering it all, don't worry, i have a idea of zombies spawning randomly every now and then, like in the corners of the map, so there will be a constant threat of them, then we can have a military faction, some kind of freedom like faction, groups, zombie hunters etc.

The zombie idea needs some major tweaks.
Like if you become a zombie you have to be on the server for like one hour and kill one person to go back.
Also, Hybrid don't spam shit with apologies.
I like the idea of zombie RP. But I would like to see actual players be zombies, but only the more experienced Rpers will get that flag.
Think about it, who wouldn't want to RP a zombie eating someone? Or a marine repelling the threat?

What this game-mode would consist of
Features:
Able to choose preference of Good, Evil, or Neutral
Fly around, killing bad guys (Npcs), fighting other people, or just Rping a superhero/villain
Able to choose your own powers (So everyone is a unique character)
Ability to weaken peoples powers
You can buy extra pieces for your clothes (IE Cape, Dark suit, Belt)
Regenerate powers - They run out (Stamina)
Powers that do not kill, but stun. (IE Your not dead but out of commission, Powers deactivated)
Powers that do kill will be granted to trusted players/people who apply.
Example of RP:
You and another person are on top of a roof, staring each other down. All of a sudden, lightening flings across, missing you. You lash out with a Fireball. Each of you run/fly towards each other and collide, making one of those epic collision explosions you see on TV and Movies.(Shoot to miss would be implicated)
To prevent minges from going around spamming powers, you would have to apply for a flag/flags that lets you have grander powers. Otherwise your left with good old regular powers that some modern superheros/villains have (IE Punches, short bursts of energy)
Possible Character traits (What they can look like/become):
Shape-shifter
Superman
Crime lord
Silver Knight (This would only be for him :D)
Robot/Robot suit (IRON MAN)
Regular Person
Karate Man
Gunman (Sorta like Duke Nukem or something else)
Human Torch (Someone who is fire player-model and on fire)

Super Hero Roleplay, interesting...
How about a military faction. And Evil Super heroes.
Also I would want to be a sort of spiderman dude that can jump really far and high and climb walls (Parkour)

A 28 Weeks later basis, with some SERIOUS roleplaying initiated, all barricades must be made out of Wood, and may be blocked with a prop like a Couch.

Add things like the realistic Weapons pack with a few tweaks(damage, rate of fire) for Donators.

I would like an Iraq War role-play theme, where players will be Iraqi citizens, and they can become members of the militia (some militias are US friendly). Or players can make new characters that are in the U.S. Army, PMCs, or they can be journalists.
It does not have to be DM either, an occasional IED will go off, sure, but this is present, where most open fighting has subsided.
War roleplay themes always become dming... It's a fact...

It's not. Just because the Army has a foothold on the area does not mean it's citizens are opressed, rebellious, malnourished, citizens like you see in all of the other themes.

It'd be easier to do USMC, though. There's no good U.S Army mods out there that have the soldiers wearing ACU camo. In fact, there are none, but some shitty PMC player model.

I also have a few ideas for more realisitic PMC models, instead of using those over-geared MGS4-looking PMC models.
Wasn't a fan of those models. The helmets are too small in my opinion. They look like tiny popcorn bowls on the head of the soldiers.
I used those in ArmA for awhile until I just decided to use Johnny's marine replacement pack.
Welp, I could make adjustments to them, but they do not bother me. Off-topic, I love those models for ArmA, although fuck Bohemia for making cosmetic mods so multiplayer unfriendly.
Arma was very good. They have their own city based rp there.

Rohok there are infact ACU models out there. These are fine that they are masked it adds the anon aspect of rp which allows people to mold there people. And I would love a Iraq rp sounds like something new. To occasional IED bombing >.> Even though the ODDS now are very very very slim.
