Title: FaceAPI
Post by: Zstan on 09-04-2010
Controlling the Facial Expressions of a Virtual Character using a Webcam (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Phcdp7AjhBg&feature=player_embedded#)

QuotefaceAPI allows you to incorporate Seeing Machines world class face tracking technology into your own product or application. faceAPI provides a suite of image-processing modules created specifically for tracking and understanding faces and facial features. These powerful tracking modules are combined into a complete API toolkit that delivers a rich stream of information that you can incorporate into your own products or services. Seeing Machines faceAPI is the only comprehensive, integrated solution for developing products that leverage real-time face tracking. All image-processing for face tracking is handled internally, removing the need for any computer vision experience.

TLD;DR - A application that tracks face movements and puts them on a character (??)

Wouldn't it be cool to have this in RP, and actually have facial expressions that are identical to the one you are showing in real life?

Hell yes it would (Unless your fapping while RPing..)

Unfortunately there is no mod (that I'm aware of) that let's it be in-game.

That's actually really awesome.

Reminds me of the wii-virtual reality thing.

Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw&playnext_from=TL&videos=Nt7CZShwdFM#)

I'm downloading it, and I hope they will manage to do that, that when you rotate your penis in 360° it will do it in-game too. Yay.
Looks awesome though.
