Backstory
The Priesthood has been around since the old kingdom. Although we do not know or origins from them we know our history since the first Priest came to New Kingdom. The first Priest to come the the new kingdom was called Father Daniel, he was the only priest and was tasked to form the Church of the Gods in this new land to spread the gods word across the natives if any were found.
When they found the strange crystal known as Magicite they found a rare version of it that was pure white. When Father Daniel put some white magicite in his walking stick he soon discovered that his faith triggered the magicite giving him holy abilities. He had the abilities to purge diseases from people heal wounds and banish the evil from the town. When he gave his Stave to a common man who had little faith in the gods he found out that the persons faith influenced the amount of powers they had.
As the Priesthood developed and Father Daniel became Archfather Daniel there appeared the Orcs a very violent race who the Priesthood condemned them as "Demons in there truest form." But there were some in the priesthood who thought otherwise and they shunned the gods turning there white magicite a deep shade of black as they turned to the dark arts now known as necromancy.
This started a violent civil war in the Priesthood that ended up with the Archfather forming "The Holy Hand." A special group within the Priesthood who took up the sword and shield to fight for the holy cause. They became the first and last Paladins. The Necromancers were eventually defeated and they ran off into the wilderness to seek refuge. The Priesthood let them live so that they could face the Orc menace that still plagued them. They had lost over 2/3rds of there own to the civil war, either to death or corruption.
After the Orc menace was fought off and the 'King' took over the colony. The Priesthood disbanded The Holy Hand so that they could recover from the horrible civil war that had ripped there order entwine. Now in this day in age the King was assassinated by a necromancer and the Priesthood is rallying its members, training new initiates to fight the Necromancer menace. The new Archfather, Peter is discussing with his Priesthood about the reforming of the Holy Hand.
There are dark times ahead for the Priesthood, the Necromancers are soon to return and the Priesthood will face there arch nemesis for the last time. Either the Priesthood will destroy the necromancers or the Necromancers will destroy the priesthood and bring in an age of darkness to the land. And even now new forces of darkness are appearing across the land. People are waking up with bite marks on their necks and people are getting mauled and eaten by 'Wolfs' when the moon is full, and even people who use dark arts to make terrible potions and concoctions.
As the Priesthood prepares for war against these dark forces they call upon there most devotes to become a new bread of Paladin. The WitchHunters. People who would go to the ends of the earth to hunt down these forces of evil. There are also rumors about a small number of the Priest are assassins working for the Archfather and following his every command. Although the Archfather denies this there have been a strange number of criminals have been found dead, on a crucifix in there home or business.

The Holy Order
This is the priest part of The Priesthood. They have the most magic capability of any of the Priesthood but little melee capability. They do know how to use a sword but its more of a scare tactic than a actual defense. They also perform normal priest duty's like marriages, funerals, baptisms and such.

The Holy Hand
The Military part of The Priesthood. They are more warriors than priest so they have less magic capability than The Holy Order but in exchange for more melee capability. They do not have the ability to use healing magic and must really on the Holy Order to heal them.

WitchHunters
WitchHunters are the most fanatical and best of the Priesthood. They are either the best of the Paladins or Holy Order, so that means some WitchHunters will be very good with magic and others with swords and bows. They are equal in rank to a Bishop or Captain but cannot command any of the other parts of the Priesthood.

I will do all recruiting IC, I will not accept apps at all. Also magic for the Priesthood is restricted to Holy, Healing and Air magic. Any one in the Priesthood caught using other magics will be kicked out of it.

Be careful of overpowering, remember that priests would most likely be appalled by violence, and at most would have a theoretic knowledge of combat.
They most likely would not condone violence against the Goodly races.
Think of Van Helsing.
They use massive amounts of violence to end great threats.
