It's chance came in the form of a 30 KM wide zone, filled with supernatural happenings and valuable artifacts. But the nation couldn't keep it secret forever. Word spread fast, and entrepeneurs came from all over the globe in search of riches and glory, but they found far more than that.
Death, horror, destruction-- It brought out the worst in man. But for some, it brought out the best. Some would be heroes, others would be villains, and most would just be trying to survive. Some would choose sides, and others would remain neutral. But for the world, all there was to do was to hold their breath and wait. For as long as this struggle would last, there could be no peace.

If you are wondering, Rohok was a duty leader who became a Head admin, and then ban because he overflowed with power and became headstrong. A certain player who wouldnt take shit from him lost his admin because ROHOK proclaimed it. Fuck Rohok. Fuck TnB. Fuck them with good luck because its a dumb war that they can do w/e the fuck they want to. If they do something, doenst matter, our content is more advanced. And I plan on making these models NON-DECOMPILABLE so NO ONE can steal them. If they take our content pack. It will have /hgn/ in front of EVERY model.

d) TnB won't ever back down. We are in constant attack from a few people, and we still remain resilient. We always will.
Taco N Banana is the biggest formed, and one of the longest-going roleplay communities in Garry's Mod. It will take a lot of force, in order to even consider them backing the idea down. TnB has made a lot of progress with this already, and I'm not sure you'll get anywhere unless you pay someone to ddos the server, in which you won't get any further :S ... They'll still keep it up.
We have modellers who are making excellent progress. We have a scripter who is showing amazing results, and we have the canon and administration working together.
Remember, this is just a game. There are other people out there who share the same ideas as us, and try to do what they want. HGN and TnB's servers will differ, due to them all using separate content and items, however the idea is one thing that will remain the same. If you aren't dumb enough, you'd realise that most people will stay here at HGN because they enjoy HGN. They probably won't like it at TnB, therefore you have no worry with it at all. You'll still have the players and the people here for you.
Also, Silver. Insulting people by changing their name is a childish move to play. If you really hated the person, you'd write about them, and you'd show why you hate them and backup your points for these untrue insults with evidence.
TL:DR
- You won't stop TnB
- TnB are NOT stealing your content. They're making it THEMSELVES
- TnB are using their own ideas. Things will differ heavily from HGN
- Community directors openly insulting people makes them look stupid

a) It's lead by a corrupt Ex srp admin, aka rohok, he's just a tool
b) I never lead our HL2RP, we let other people handle it and it didn't work out well so we dropped it.
c) We did fallout rp before live in fear, don't get ahead of yourself kiddo, we did it back in early febuary of 2009, even before live in fear existed, so don't make accusations if i were you.
d) HGN isn't new and if Dave/TnB really want to move in on another communties territory in gmod, then that's what he's going to have to expect, there is mutual respect amongst various respectable communties who avoid doing the same roleplay themes as other communties. We have been doing Stalker roleplay for nearly two years, and for another community to move in and try and divide up that sector is both a threat to HGN and our past/future, be it that our HGN members will stay here, it's still something which we are strongly against.
What's further wrong to this is that rohok, an ex admin and traitor to HGN is leading such a thing, which is offensive to all of us who were here at the time he decided to screw us over and steal money, you clearly are not aware of any of this, so i will forgive you for that Advantage i don't appeciate you coming on here making your own idle threats and remarks about this situation, as i deem some offensive to myself and HGN.
I am aware of what Rohok did. However, he did not steal the communities money. From what I have heard, and this has been confirmed, he refunded it to the donators, apart from one who told him to keep it. I understand that he was in a position of power here before, and I realise that he did betray your actions, but I dont believe he should be miscounted.

You continue to question my knowlage about the Xray engine, its not a simple as "IM PORTING ONE MODEL AND IT HAS EVERY ANIMATION ALREADY DEFIND/RIGGED/AND WORKING 100%. There are TWO different MODEL files for ONE model. The .ogf, the raw model data, and the .omf, the animations. If they can actually get them OUT. The will be the first out of the entire STALKER community. NOT JUST IN GMOD.

TnB are in the wrong right now. Communities are not supposed to battle to be superior, what gets me is it almost seems TnB are in it for money and to steal player bases off of everyone else, thats not a community, one that attempts to tread on another, like Exile stated, there is supposed to be a mutual respect, but TnB time and time again feel the need to breach such things and to walk over other communities without a second thought, do they not care about people that cherish that community?
They need to learn to respect other communities, and notice its not about whos bigger or the money, its about what the players want.

Well now Advantage, for your information, Rohok did infact steal donation money and kept it for himself, he gave money back to two donators (Rencamo and another previous member) The rest of the money he kept for himself, he also tried to destroy HGN because of his own personal greed and powerhungry self but failed.
But this is not about Rohok, this is about TnB moving on on a roleplay already being done by another community, there is general respect for communties doing orginal unique idea's and to that extent communties avoid doing the same Roleplay schemes. It's why we dropped starwars awhile back and why for awhile other communties avoided Starship roleplay and look where that went.
Mwrp and starshiptroopers.com battled it out to the full extent of DDOS and other disfunction and disconfort on each other. That's probably whats going to happen here until TnB avoids messing with Stalker, to the extent i would let it ride, but if Rohok is both leading that project and active in that sector, i cannot let it slide.
He's a thief and a right and utter discrace to the gmod community and gaming alike, much less a traitor too.

I left HL2RP because of the damned economy (Like every other) That blocks me from any progress in so many differen't ways, I can't buy anything, I can't talk to some people, the factions ignore me completely, and let me say, this is over a period of three weeks. So yeah, if that happened in Stalker roleplayer, I think it would be better just to drop out.
We really have no need to worry HGN, if TnB wants to do SRP, let them. They can rig their own models, get their own animations, modify their own script and see if they can make a working economy.
The economy is the most crucial and touchy part of Stalker Roleplay, which we have learned and worked on. Make things too easy to get, and everyone has an exoskeleton within the first two weeks. Make things too hard to get, and people have no weapons or ammunition, and they leave because of boredom.
Right now the economy is set up to accommodate casual players, who want to make a quick buck, and live like normal stalkers. It also supports dedicated players who can, if wanted, spend hours making money doing roleplayed jobs given by the traders and barkeeps around the server.
Oh, and you better get your damn own map, hgn_chernobyl has so many custom textures and additions, you can't consider it a standard garrysmod map. It is a break-away addition in the sense that we are moving towards duplicating the game stalker's feel and look.
If you're from TnB I, as well as many others, have nothing against you. I don't despise you because who you associate with, or what you do with your spare time. If you want to find out about our roleplay, please come and play. You can find the download pack in the "The Cordon" section.

Correct but as i said above, it's rohok's little influence from us which is pushing his cogs, he's the reason why other communties have existed, he stole my script back then and gave it to several minor communties and pushes forward doing SRP with other communties like Necropolis and now TnB.
There's nothing really to worry about but the fact that he's involved is a major problem, i will talk to Dave Brown about this and hopefully talks will pick up, if not i will try to settle something neutral but we will really have to see how this goes. This is very likely to turn ugly though.

Guys, i wouldn't be worried. Yes TnB has a big client base, yes, they have more resources committed to this project. But look, We're pretty well-off ourselves. We have a strong, loyal client base, we have a (mostly) working script, Good admin team, We're not elitist and actually give new players the chance to get into the RP rather then letting them hang in the wind. We shouldn't be so obsessed with TnB, I understand they are infringing on our 'flagship' Idea, and i understand what SK is saying and agree that there should be some sort of respect amongst communities. But we've seen that TnB has used the ideas from previous communities before, don't expect us to be any different. But flaming here doesn't make anything better, i don't by any means agree what their doing, but flaming them will just make them even more vengeful than they are now.
Either way, don't underestimate them, but now is the time where we need to really pick it up and give them a good fight. I for one won't leave this community to twist in the wind, i hope you don't either.

That won't happen but it may effect how many new players we get, TnB being elitists spam facepunch and other communties with their B.S. propoganda to attract players. HGN is a old Dog, older than most of these communties around gmod and the gaming world, hell, when i made HGN hl2 was not even around, so that says something right there. We have been doing Stalker roleplay for nearly two years and NO ONE is going to take that placement away from us. That's how it is and how its going to be.

Guys, guys...Just sayin' STALKER is property of those GSC guys, I dont think its really right for you all to be running around declaring who did what first, to be honest Garrys Mod is a game made for building stuff, if HGN want to do HL2RP then thats fine, if TnB want to do Stalker RP then thats fine to, I think your making a big deal about seriously nothing here.
I'd say Lock the thread and just let hate boil between each communities members, if its really gotten to that, and yeah Locke is the only one that has tried to act civil from HGNs side, you sorta just made us all look a bit childish those that are blindly flaming TnB/Other stuff.

Horsey basically cleared up what I was about to say for the whole STALKER RP with TnB thing... and if you are butthurt about people taking your other things, then I could re-direct it to your HL2RP , and then you'll redirect me to the fact that you only sponsor the project and dont run it, and that's what dave is doing with SRP anyway... so it's really neutral ground for both of you.
In the end, if you're going to start stupid bullcrappy server wars over this, then I'm not sure many of your players will have respect for you anymore, Silver. They love this playerbase and they love the server, however, you fighting measly stupid wars, to make yourselves better than another community only makes you worse. You'll lose players, etc.. It's really not something to worry yourself over with a community as large as HGN. You have a huge playerbase and many people to share things between. Look at TnB's attitude to things like that. It's usually "Fuck it.. its always good to have people making budding HL2 Communities" not "OMG LETS TAKE THEM DOWN". If you are going to attack TnB, and their SRP, then it proves to me that you have no hope in your community, other than it being the only SRP community alive ( due to you downing the rest ).
