Title: UI for displaying trinkets currently equipped
Post by: gordon13 on 08-01-2009
i was thinking some visual interface to show the items/trinkets taht are useable (that cast cetain spells or give you stat boosts) would be a cool idea.
for example you could find a Shield amulet, or something, tab+drag and drop into one the slots of the new interface thing at the bottom of the screen. then whenever you press the button on the keyboard thats linked to that slot in the interface, it will trigger the effect of the item.

example of what the screen would look like!

drag and drop the item from the floor to one of the slots ( the "0" on the diagram).
each slot if assigned a keyboard shortcut. so theres no need to change swep. you carry on shooting/firing magic and use your items at the same time.

So it's like the macrobar in most MMORPG's. This would work well for the mages and hopefully be able to work for warriors who want to use more then one weapon.

would be useful for anyone who happens to own a trinket/magical item. engineered items can be useful for anyone :P you could get some sort of speed increase device, net throwing device etc.
