How would you Define Stalker RP a Game, Mod or Gamemode?
I just spent the last hour debating this crap, i want your opinions. It can be a game, since it has it's own rules and what not, it doesn't use sandbox, which is "the gmod" game, rather it uses the gmod engine for Lua, it can be a mod because everything is modded (sounds, models, textures, interface, everything !
I would define this as a gamemode, as it cant be a game or a mod, as your using GMOD for the game and the functions, creating a mod is GMOD lol GMOD IS A MOD and a GAME, so in overall the STALKER RP Mode has to be a "gamemode" as its using the gmod functions already included, and exploiting them
I would say it is a Gamemode, but more of a mod. if it didn't rely on Gmod alot then yes it would totally be a Mod. More of a Mod for RPs
Well sadly i cannot make it so the server is split up from others, although, that would a good idea considering the amount of assholes out there who join our server ! lol
Back in Gmod9, we had Mods for or Gmod.

Well look at all the gamemodes, they are just scripts, stalker rp is alot more, so i myself, call it a mod !
I'd call it an entire game becuase we can create our own stories and everything else that is in a full-fleged game.
I say just gamemode, without the major game engine, the script would just be a pile of lua.
Its a gamemode. It has a lot of room for development.

Yeah i agree with zaki, without the game engine the game would be a pile of code doing nothing XD.
And it was me and Silver Knight argueing about this issue. He was saying that he game designs, and kept arguing that hes making a game, when i was saying you need the engine etc, and your using the engines functions/features to create something to your taste and he wouldnt have it at all

You say you can add your own sounds, models, and skins, but you can do that in CS:S. It's a gamemode that runs on GMOD, A modification of a game, HL2.
True, but what defines a game? if you change everything about a game.. then it should no longer by a gamemode but a mod, becuase everything which once was, is gone, so in still favour, i call it a mod, gamemodes was a feature garry made, for all those little gamemodes which use sandbox as a base, But Radiationscript, isn't like sandbox, it doesn't retain a single feature, thus it's a mod.
The game is the engine and bare bones.
A mod is a direct manipulation of the bare bones gamemode.
A gamemode is a game you created with the provided commands and abilities the mod gives you.
So its a gamemode?

It's a gamemode definitely, GMod is a game, S.T.A.L.K.E.R RP is a modification of GMod, and is only available via launching GMod.
So that rules out game entirely.
But gamemode and modifcation are still debateble for sure.
Because of the large amount of content in the game, it could make for a great standalone mod.

It's a gamemode.
It's more of a expansion to the stalker games, a diary, a story, a deleted-scenes on a movie, its everything, in one!

It uses the source engine, but it has a custom script. It also says "Gamemode: RadiationScript", doesn't it?
