The Ukranian Military Vanguard
History:
The Military Vanguard was formed during World War 2, After hearing Hitlers plans to wipeout the Ukranians.
Their job was simple, Protect the Homeland.
At first they where a simple combat group, not what they are today.
They where outstanding soldiers in the arts of defence.
As a few years go on, and the need for a Ukranian army becomes a Defence force, and as the intensity of rivalry Between Russia and Ukraine rises, The Vanguards are Adapted once more.
The Vanguards at this point where estimated to only be at platoon strength in numbers (28 Men), They Then became a highly trained combat group mainly tasked for protecting Commanders and politicians. A platoon Turns into Pairs. The most pivotal change in the Vanguards. It would change training forever.

A unit of Vanguards in their Regimental Colours can be seen behind president Viktor Yushchenko, and George bush. A Units Training:
A Vanguard should only be picked due to his outstanding instincts in the field of combat, and must be one that thrives above all others.
Also Previous Military Experience is required.
Due to new regulations of Vanguard Training Protocool 1.24 (See page 87) training is to now be completed in Pairs to increase friendship and effectiveness between two Vanguards.
They are to be trained in the following:
Close Quater Combat
FIBUA (Fighting in Built up Areas)
All arms combat (Shotguns, Heavy support weapons etc.)
Close Protection
Signals.
A Vanguard is to be trained to the extent where nothing will shake him.
He is to be able to take on a task suited for an entire section if need be.
Also The following is Essential:
Psychological training.
Concentration Focus training.
Emotions Control training.
This Training should then bring The Vanguard to be able to acheive victory in the worst of situations.
Who is A Vanguard?:
When Picking a Vanguard he should be one of the most enthusiastic, and combat capable men in his fireteam/platoon.
A Vanguard must be able to withstand alot, Given his standard equipment (SKAT-6), He should also be able to withstand Small Arms Fire.
Some Vanguards have been known in the past to take on outnumbering odds to acheive his goal, They are not people who should be messed around with, giving their training, keep them close.
Vanguards are one of the Ukranian armys most elite units, they are highly effecient, and are to be utalised in all situations, training prepares them for the absolute worse.

Sure, they got a SKAT-6, and a VSS, maybe some combat skill . . . But they still aren't -that- good.
The idea of a Vanguard is to be an elite force... Thus being ICly Better trained then all general units in our military garrison.

Its so damn true, Kharkov is the only good vanguard that has the skill required. Sorry to other vanguards. David Rouiee is also good, but I think Kharkov is the best.
