Right, well I'll get straight to the point: After i play garrysmod for over an hour or two, i always get a major lag spike. and then i always freeze and Gmod crashes. this happens 2-5 times a day when i start playing. This also happens when the server crashes and when i reconnect Gmod also decides to kill itself. I really want to avoid reformatting or reinstalling all my mods but i will if i have too.
could it be the following problems:
-Too much junk installed in my garrysmod?
-Something wrong with my computer?
-Something wrong with the server?
Any suggestions would be very welcome
P.S also im running Visa (yea yeah it sucks)
Hmmm remove some addons, if it persits , do a virus scan , have you got any background apps to if so close some of them down it may help.
I'm going to suggest the obvious, reinstall Gmod.
If you have too much unused stuff in your Gmod folder then remove it, my gmod folder was 15 gigs in size and was a real pain in the arse until I decided to remove old crap.
Could I get your Computer specs to see if your computer can handle Gmod?

1. Update your drivers, for your graphics card and other devices if needed.
2. Reinstall Gmod (You download aton of extra crap overtime, some lua gets stuck, and fucks with your gmod from other servers)
3. Check you have the latest service pack installed, and windows updates, let's not forget directx and cleaning up your computer (Excess programs, viruses, spyware etc)
Memory Leaks = Ram Problems
Graphical Bugs = Graphic Card Problems
Gmod Breaking = Garry/Valve Being A Twat.
Try and join the server when it is empty. I got an error earlier when I tried to join...
It was like "Fatal Error: Failed to use <Basicly 2 gig of ram(I have 1 gig)>
