If you have not played this mod I highly suggest you do. This makes the game exponentially more fun. (http://forums.filefront.com/s-t-l-k-e-r-soc-modding-editing/340033-s-t-l-k-e-r-oblivion-lost-kanyhalos.html)
Adds new weapons, more enemies, new artifacts, mutants removed from the original game, so on and so forth. The game also continues to play on even after you finish the main campaign. You'll receive a variety of things on your PDA from friendly factions and stranded stalkers calling for help, where you can be too slow and they'll all be dead by the time you show up. DUTY and Freedom and get a little antsy and try and attack each others bases, and random blow outs make you and NPCs dart for cover.
You can get v2.2 for patch 1.005 here (http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Oblivion_Lost_22_for_1005%3B93039)
Dude..get Priboi or better yet wait for Lost Alpha
Yeah, i'm enjoying my OL2.2.
I enjoyed a friend of mine's personal mod of AMK + OL a bit more but OL isn't too bad. The Renglissian (russian english?) is horrible though.
Yer what was OL, i thought it was just the name for the russian version of SoC

No, that's STALKER: Oblivion Lost, and that was BEFORE it was renamed. They renamed it to SoC because of an enine change i'm assuming. All the videos I can find of STALKER:OL are of the old old engine.
STALKER: Oblivion Lost MOD is a mod for SoC that re-eneables alot of old STALKER:OL features like cars, Izloms, Zombies, etc.
OL is basically the cutting of all the red tape of the game. Everything that was cut out is now put back in.
Will check it out.

Their a pain in the ass, though I think the start/stop keys should be listed in the controls window.

It is, it's around the lower portion. I missed it my frist time through and raged hard. Also cars that are drivable are not too too scarce, they are just fucking annoying if you drive them through Whiligig's, and if you have that shitty sedan, it flips easily and will need an NPC pushig it down a hill or about 5 renades to flip it (if you are lucky), and then have it flip 10 feet away. Such a PoS car. (it's 1 of the 2 drivable ones in the garbage).
Also the third person camera fucks up way too much with the vehicles. Specially the APC
