BF2 was designed to be about combined arms and whatnot. Yet every single server is infantry only it seems. There is no reason to use any class other than the PKM class. PKM users get unlimited ammo and grenades, can dolphin dive and bunnyhop as if they aren't loaded down with 45+ lbs of weapon and ammo. And the nade spam of course. There's no teamwork or intersquad communication unless you are in a clan and it basically turns into a free for all clusterfuck. Plus the extreme amount of hackers and what not kill any fun you might be having otherwise. Battlefield 1942 was great because the combined arms thing had never been done before. BF2 had the potential for being great but EA failed at balancing things so it turned into the cess pool of despair it is now.
Though if you like it I guess what I think doesn't matter at all.

Okay, I see what you're saying. Firstly, unless you're ONLY playing Strike at Karkand it's fairly hard to find an infantry only server. Secondly, I see there is a balance issue with the support class (not PKM class, that's a weapon) although I have never encountered any bad 'nade spamming. Thirdly, I have rarely encountered anyone hacking. Lastly, the game is quite deep and if you look for it there IS teamwork. Go to a teamwork server, join any squad and you'll find dedicated members with mics coordinating tactics. So, maybe you played the game three years ago or something, but in my opinion the game is great fun, and has a lot of teamwork if you look in the right places.
I'd rather play ArmA anyway.

Well of course that's a serious military sim. Obviously that's more of what you're looking for, thus why you dislike BF2, since BF2 is not by any means intended to be a military sim.

I already had the booster packs... I hope they make one with out the booster packs... I wish they would make one with Special Forces that one was epic.
I didnt play this in ages. I used to love this and then BF 2142 holy shit. I was god like with sniper.
BF2 was .. ok. The nade-spam was unbearable, and it took a long time to get promotions. Then I played BF2142 ... and my god my mind was blown. I still play it now.
TnB was ... ok. The rp was unbearable, and it took a long time to get promotions. Then I played with HGN ... and my got my mind was blown. I still play it now.

Btw- I got the BF2 deluxe edition with all expansion packs and stuff.
I'd like not to have to crawl for two hours in Arma only to get shot by a guy waiting in a bush and re-do the whole thing. I very much prefer Operation Flash Point over Arma.
