The update is upon us

That's right, as of midnight EST the Terraria 1.2 update will be up on steam and available for download!

While I'm sure everyone has been anxiously waiting for the update this means a few things for the server:

1) The mods are going to have to go through every single new item and enemy and check to see if they'll be allowable on the server.

2) This is a server for roleplay still, if you want to best of the best armor and weapons then this isn't the place to be.

3) James has made it clear that the "party girl" NPC is going to be locked away somewhere tight and that if you mention MLP around him it'll end very badly for you.

4) We have to wait for T-Shock to update, it may be quite awhile and without it we have no server control.

5) There's going to be a ton of stuff for character customization! Let's all get creative and really bring this community back guys!

That basically covers some of it but James, Hex, and Riageki may have more to add so make sure to watch out for any threads or posts from them as well.

P.S. only 20 minutes to go until the update here, the anxiety may kill me...

Well I get locking up the party girl, but I'm sure for certain events fireworks and bubbles should be allowed (Maybe bubbles for a dungeon or something)

The items will be for sale. Whether you decide to go into the prison to get them or buy them from a shopkeeper will work. (Need to try to find people who could be decent SK's)

I would like to say that Pumilionis has before proven that he is a very adept shop keeper.

Also update:

Tshock has been updated and now includes server side players, that means now when you get on the server your character will revert to whatever it was the last time you where on. Aka, no more importing in illegal items which was a big problem last time around.

Yeah it was quite bad, luckily now though they'll have to somehow get a hold of everything they want to use! Which can range from hard to impossible now.
