I am in the process of slowly implementing skins into some of our models that are suits. I am wondering what method the player would like to change their suit skin.
I see this being done as two ways:
Putting on the suit and picking your skin from a menu.
Buying a "Suit Kit" and repeating the same option. (Suit kit is removed after the skin has changed)
(Mostly to avoid abuse of someone running around changing their skin constantly and thus players cannot recognize them)
Cutch: probably the "putting on the suit and picking your skin from a menu" would be better. I seriously doubt that abuse will be that much of a problem, since its not like changing your suit restarts the recognition system, right?

I have to agree with Cutch here, it sounds like it would be a lot easier if you simply picked it from a menu.

I think he means like, someone wears a blue camo, snipes at a random guy, then runs under a bridge, and switches to green camo, no one would be able to tell who it was.

Pretty sure there isn't a real identification system yet. As far as I know it always shows your name, and description to everyone still.
Correct. So everyone recognizes everyone, and we are just one big happy family.
Why not just let the trader have access to the variations of the suits and have a thread on the forums with pictures of all the suit colors and skins etc. This would give you a chance to see what color of suit you want and what to expect from it when you buy it. This would make it atleast a bit realistic rather then people being able to change their suit skins every single day. Could even give the trader the option to take a suit back and change the suit skin for a fee etc.
That would make technicians a bit more useful, yknow.

Give technicians the ability to change the suits exclusively. That would give a whole new side of jobs. Also, don't make the Technician "abilities" restricted to Traders.

I like the idea of having to use a kit or technician.
It's unrealistic otherwise. It's like saying I only own only one T-shirt and I can make the T-shirt red, purple, white, or polkadots at my whimsy.
Well, you probably could dye the shirt in some radioactive anomaly water.
I'm sure you'd get some cool colors.
You could also rape a mutant dog, but you probably won't.
Would probably yield pretty interesting puppies.

I think he's pointing out that dying your shirts in radioactive goop is a bad idea no matter how interesting.
