The year is 2020. The destruction of the citadel in city 17 caused an unforeseen consequence. Almost all of the other citadels to fail.
The Past - 2018:
The Combine:
The Civil Protection in theses fallen cites were soon overthrown. Surviving units fled the city or took refuge in the Citadel, soon to be evacuated to cities with functional citadels. The cites around the functional cities have been converted into strongholds, all the citizens inside - Dead - killed to make room for evacuating Civil protection units and functional Overwatch. As the citadels deactivated some of the SYNTHS inside went crazy, they were orderless and confused, what was left of their instinct told them to kill and destroy. The surviving SYNTHS were ordered to ripcord to the nearest Combine Stronghold Overwatch simply didn't re-activate from stasis. Only the already mobilized overwatch didn't deactivate, instead, these units and squads have become free-lance, most joining the Loyalist and Civil-Protection units outside the city.
The Citizens & Resistance:
The resistance, now known as the Lambda party took charge of the fallen cities. They returned the laws to how they used to be, pre-7 hour war. They stopped the citizens leaving the cities, they still claim to let them go after the remaining Combine have been destroyed. The combine loyalist fled the cities with Civil protection...
Present day - 2020:
The loyalist, civil protection and overwatch are using the outpost set around the cities. The is one just outside city 18, close by is a Lambda Party camp. There is a refugee camp close to the Lambda Parties camp that the combine want. The combine dare not attack the Lambda Party, nor do the Lambda Party dare attack the Combine.
Between the two camps is forest and a river, they are connected by one lone windy road, the bridge over the large river is destroyed.
This is the fall of the combine.

Basically this takes place outside city 18 in the outlands. Both camps are at a standoff. The benefit of having two big camps/outpost is that there is a great opportunity for passive roleplay and good opportunities for long range and RPic gunfights.
The space around the river is more or less a kill on sight. The north side of the river being combine and the south being Lambda Parties.

It sound's interesting but I think you should put the Camps really far out , mainly so they can't resupply , and when they do we could have a battle over the supply's.

Im guessing, People can have a standard flag as a citizen, No guns armor or anything...
My Suggestions for Flags:
Combine
CP- Standard Combine, Pistol, SMG, Some Armor
OW- AR2/SMG, grenades, Armor
EOW- AR2, Grenades, A lot of armor
Combine Loyalist- Possibly a public flag, Citizen basicly un-armed sided with the Combine
Commander- Combine Commander, basicly runs things armed with pistol, SMG
Rebels
Rebel- SMG, Armor, Pistol
Citizen- Public un-armed person...
Lambda party Member- Governmental person, basically commander Armed with SMG, armor, pistol

Actually i was suggesting the fact that we have special votes or Admin rights to start a battle between, or something.Or we have this for special players who join the forum should be given to.
Well its also the outlands, so shouldnt everyone be afraid of antlions? I would say this RP would have to be controled fighting wise- Neither side can go Pew Pew without agreement and such... Rebles should fear antlions almost as much as combine should, Basicly i think both sides would passive RP with each other, or go on little adventures into the wasteland looking for surviers or Other comrads I think this needs to be given a shot before its discarded because of the damn HL2 sucking for regular people. This is a HL2 rp that could actually go somewhere and get people involved

I few ideas i have been pondring about
Each faction has there main camp (With nexus/HQ eqivalent), a pick of a single free contested outpost (witch would get attacked form time to time by oposing faction). There will be a neutral town for the citizens(THIS IS A NO-FIRE ZONE). Recruters are not needed, seing people will be chooseing there sides all ready.
Contested areas - meny a contested structure can be found out in the wilderness, eg, barns, farms, abandonded housing ect ect to be taken by a faction and possibly taken back. Giveing the illusion of an "evolving" world leting people have there PEW PEW cake and role-play eating it to!. you could give your officers 'fifes', eg, there own bace. role-play with them, make it so that you transpot termanals, computer ect from your home bace to your outpost with a truck or somthing, if you happen to caputre a place with an enemys termanal, take it back to bace and see what you can dig up! (ofc talk to the factions out-post leader to make sure theres no meta going on).
Anarchists- Thease guy dont care about govemnts, alien supremecy whatever! They want to let the chips fall where they may, let be what is been, just do what they want! Thease guys are the new "bandits" of the HL universe. they camp out in the wilderness, hazarding the dangers of ant-lions, other anarchist tribes, zombie attacks and most of all, lambada and Remnants patrols! The lambadas view on them is 'scum', "they dont care about the good of human kind!". The Remnants view is that "They are nothing more then a spek of dirt on the road to 'Re-unitement'*. Seeing that weapons are to come by, meny tribes have made friends with local arms dealers. Some even own tribes them selves!
They can take contented areas or just camp out and RP doing what you think they would do to keep them alive. They try to keep in 'tribes' and wont hesatate to rob and kill you for all your belongings and whats worse is that they dont like the neutrals!
There is a EXTREAM chance of a CK to deterent you wanting to be an anarchists. althou it may come with its perks, if you are found alive , *CAPTURED* and taken to an enemy officer to be assesed you could get a CK. If found guilty, the offiser would deside what happens. (CK, 're-education', let free... the latter wont happen very often). if a CK is decleared, an admin DOSE NOT have to permit it, thats why its a very high possiblity that your gona die!. if your simply gunned down, its wont mean a CK. (needs fine tuneing)
Vehicals - Ofc, the maps gona be big so transport is gona be an must IMO.

No fire zone, this means unless its an event, and admin OR both leaders deside its ok to fight there, then this = warning then a ban! thats not to say the odd shooting/hold ups/ store roberys what ever wont happen, the world still is in a state of 'anacy' ...if you can call it that.
Guns- NO NO NO NO NO! The only way people are getting guns is from there faction quter-master or an arms dealer. No Spanwing or any of that bullshit. No gun out of no-where becuse thats a big problem with RP, where the fuck are they comeing from!? theres people who just wana PEW so theres gona be FEW. so few poeple are getting them becuse thay will cost so much! if you want to fight, join a faction or save up.
Citizens- do you guys think poeple would have there own cloths by now or
Combine Remnant:
As they are alot less organized (yet still organized) then thay were before, and reli on the people more then there tecnology and numbers.
Combine Loyalist: A citizen who has pledged there aligence to the CUU remnant. Could be an informent, spy, or just the guy preaching in the street. They help out ther CUU remnant in any way they can, and some time get specal treatment
Combine Overwatch: Thease guys are totely diffrent to what the name ment before. Due to lack of 'brainwashing' equipment, they arnt mindless zombies they were before. They are the military AND the police, why have Soilders or MCs/CPs when you can have both?. Ranks would go up from police trooper and military trooper to military or police officer. LAYOUT MP7(rank and situation)- side-arm - stun baton.
Combines Elite: The still (and always) loyal super soilders. some of who survived the last 2 years of torment. Some are still brain washed, others have have been throu intense 're-education' to get to such a prestiges rank. The elites go on covert and sometimes suicidal missions, yet still come out alive. Protection of the sectoral adminastrator and commanding the Overwatch is there secondery tasks. The officers obey only the adminastrators. LAYOUT AR1 (an ar2 with no energy ball and normal tracers) - pistol - Granade - knife (FEW PEOPLE REACH THIS RANK)
Sectorial Adminastrator: This guy has totel controll over this sector(like the city adminastrator from HL2RP). They Question only to the Sub- Global CUU remnant adminastrator (witch for lore sake is not played)
*The re-unitement is what the remnant veiws as there ultimate goul. To one day re-build the tecnology to get into contact and re-unite with the combine home world. Thus re-gaining supremecy over earth.
Lambda Party-
Lambda loyalist- same as abouv.
Lambda Militia- The bulk of the lambdas partys supporters. They hate the combine and want humanity to move on and be strong agian. Theres no line between the 'poilce' and the 'military'. Theres a single tier line. working form a militant to an officer. LAYOUT- MP7 (depending on rank) - Pistol - baton
Lambda Insurgents - The eilite of the lambda military force, there soul purpose is to wipe out combine influence in this sector. Still keeping there gurilla war-fair roots, going out on sabotage missions and assassinations. LAYOUT M4 - Granades - pistol - knife ( FEW PEOPLE REACH THIS RANK)
Lambda Sector presadent - Keeping this sectors party influence strong! the leader of this sectors lambda party.

The map- As you can see, its on the coast. just outside C18. The combine have captured and fortified an old light house wile the party and got them selfs an old bombed soviet bunker. In the middle is a small town, the neutral one.
There are 2 contested rail-stations, and the gray line reprasents the train track. it gose throu the town and over a fallen bridge (somthing we could use turnkeys crash for)
To the East and West of the map is a forest with a small rundown lumber cabin and to the other side is the coast. Like the one seen in HL2 campagin. Theres a House on the clif and a beached boat.
The river runs throu the middle of the map with all but two of the bridges kept up. Both are contested and citizens will need to find there own way away over the leach infested river. The lake has a barn next to it (like the red one in HL2 airbout mission)
Maybe a few more contested areas would need to be added. and lot more of other stuff so make it looks and feel better.
Purple= contested area (a few warehouses and houses and stuff...)
Red= antlion hives or zombie infested structures.
Orange = lambda bace
Navy blue = remnant bace
NOTE: I mean none of this will happen, im to lazy to sort out the errors n shit...biggest post iv ever made!

The above is truth. I've been following his HL2RP server since its conception, and your entire story just looks and sounds like his, reworded. If everyone here at HGN is as independent and 'leech-hating' as most of you claim to be, I'd just leave this roleplay out of the picture and move on to something else.
FUCKING EPIC IDEA but give the combines special flags so the players can becomea citizen scanner or maybe a hunter/strider gunship dropship wahtever i would epicly liked to play a dropship or hunter

Silverknight wouldn't agree. Basically, the thinking here at HGN is that if someone else is already doing a certain theme of RP for themselves, we don't tread on their feet, and we expect everyone else to do the same. Everyone thought TerminatorRP would be a great idea (it's stupid, tbh), but we didn't do it because it would stepping on the toes of TnB.
We should show the same amount of respect and allow the current supporter of 'Combine-Fall RP' to have their run at it. I recommend we just wait, and don't take this any further. You would want the same thing. He's been doing this since May, you just thought all of this up yourself, apparently, about a week ago in three hours. I think he's put a bit more into this.
Hockey, thanks for the advice but im not going to take it. Who the fuck has EVER heard of "Our Benefactors"- Apart from little hockey here. The story is due a whole re-write. I have gone through most of it with Afro and we got the general idea but Creeding, Afro, Jake, KingArthur and i are going to have a large re-write and try to fill in any holes.
This is MY work no-one elses and i would apreciate everyone to respect that.

To get back on topic, we're talking about the possibility of a Combine Fall RP server hosted by HGN, using a concept largely developed by GuitarFreak in May.
Well consitering Most people, havent even herd of there "our benafactors" Role play im imagioning it not very popular anyway, so what does it matter if we try it out for ourselfs? Seems like theres story is different. I hate leachers as much as the next guy but this is an open discusion. HL2RP is everywhere, why shouldnt we be able to do another Side of it, JUST because some one else is doing it? If they started before us, great, who cares for some compotion anyway? Its a good idea and I think we would have a few people play it continously.
