Why are people complaining about sweps? It takes no effort to add them and all of those guns aren't tacticool American guns that make no sense in the Zone. The SVU is actually IN STALKER as is the USP and the CZ 75 is just awesome. What's to complain about?

The gasmask would be cool to put on Stalkers and the benie one too, maybe hack the benie onto citizen heads and- Wait just headhack citizen rebel heads for that, but maybe hack the beret off recolor it duty colors and make anouther one thats Military green colors, put a Duty patch on the Duty color'd one and a military patch on the military colored one, hell maybe even a Freedom varient if Romka wants one.

IDK it doesn't look like it, I remeber for a long time UKM in SRP used the SAS hood model with a forest camo, and then one day an update happened and about the only thing that changed was a UKM logo on the shoulder, I assumed Blake or someone put the logo there. Grunts running around in ugly colored retextured berils are just unpleasing to the eye. Should just leave the grunts as they are, but have 2 different variants. The one we have, and one like the tactical rebel with the hood down and a beanie with gasmask. That would be better than beril-galore.

If someone like me can do it, anyone can. Just give me the world and view model and I can do the rest. I already made a bunch of SWEPs and fixes for FORP that never got added.
That's the real problem. Getting Silver to add them.
Why not replace content with content from another game, so that we have an entirely uniform and blending look.

Not gonna lie. Completely valid point. But, I say we go with something simple. As long as the guns go pewpew and we can have our ironsights and a bit of zoom on some guns, we're good.

No to the M16A4 . The US doesn't export those nor do they export AN/PEQ2 lasers. If you really want an AR variant in STALKER (that isn't the LR300 which also makes very little sense to be in the Zone but it was in the original game so I guess it gets a pass) use something like a CAR-15 or M733 (or M16A1 or I guess A2 but the shorter barreled ones are cooler.

As soon as Lent sends me that Berill he reskined to look like the flak jacket I'll practice head hacking with it. If all goes well I'll try doing different things with skinning/hacking/rigging
I read somewhere that NATO was supplying Freedom to fight a little proxy war in the Zone, or at least it was heavily implied. If they have G36Ks, SA-80s and even FN200s I'm sure there would be a few M16s thrown in there. Unless it really is that tough to acquire US service rifles. I don't think it's
that hard though, I mean they find fucking Barret .50s in the hands of drug gangs.

I made a SWEP for that you know. Plus I still have that Gauss rifle though Silver's reason for not adding it was it was OP. I figured I nerfed it enough by making the recoil damn near knock players over even if they held still, iron sighted, and crouched, but the damage output is still ungodly.
Perhaps I should try in the future to go for a "Damage per second" method of balancing the weapon and nerf the ROF even more.
I also made this thing but this is probably more appropriate for Fallout.

Just need steven to retexture the beret and send me the textures and in theory once I port this model over to Gmod (I put it in my HL2 folder cause I'm retarded and lazy and don't want to figure out how to get modelviewer to work with Gmod) the pink and black checker face should clear up

Not entirely sure why but it doesn't appear as though the Bump Map is showing through, not sure if its cause its HL2, or if its cause I didn't make the beret smooth or what.
UPDATE: Fixed some issues with the beret to make it fit on the gasmask/head better

I can rig weapon animations and that's about it, I've never worked on player anims/ragdolls.
Hmm, maybe I'll experiment with turning a prop into a world model...
If that works, then we can port guns from other games and use those as world models.

I got to test the models in Garry's mod, and at first the rag dolls where stupidly broken, until sk taught me some voodoo witchcraft technique to fix it, now the rag dolls work (just need to figure out why the eyes are still broken on the lenses... Or I could just get Steven or someone to make the lenses opaque.)
