Title: Solution to Large Battles in Roleplay
Post by: mrd on 04-06-2009
When a battle is agreed upon, have the players type /battle. This spawns a large, impassable entity that will section off the battle field from the peaceful land. This will prevent people from running back after dying, and it will keep people who do not need to be in the battle out.

To keep unnecessary battles from occurring, simply have the /battle command also bring up a Yes/No command on a super admins screen. If there are more than one super admins on, have it count the vote and see which option won.

This is just the blunt idea, could be much more refined. Discuss.

Something needs to be done, I agree with that, but I don't think this is the best idea. Perhaps we need kill messages in console again, so admins can see who dies, then don't allow them to return.

Maybe Hockey, there is most likely a simpler solution to the problem. This is just something that popped into my head. Mainly because it would be easy to make.

This idea would work, it just needs some tweaking on how it will be put into action.

This idea will be 'God modding' RP.
I personally don't think it would be a good idea, people would just complain a hell of a lot on the forums and server; and would stir up E-Drama everywhere.
Anyway, if you're trying "To keep unnecessary battles from occurring", get involved ICly and crush the people who started the unnecessary fight.
It's tough cheese if newbies get caught in the crossfire too.

Sorry, No support.
No such thing as an "unnecessary battle", people on Stalker kill for important reasons these days. If you just say "Lol people kill all the time with no reason." and don't back it up with hard-evidence, gtfo.
