Yes folks, get the game. It is epic. This game requires for you to own hl2, which all of you do of course. This game is not yet advertised on steam because it is on alpha stage yet it is still an AMAZING mod and alot of people play it. This game is based in World War 2 1940, mostly in France. Resistance and Liberation is a FPS shooter that is more realistic then DoD, not one of those skilled team deathmatch games.
In this game you can pick to be the german team or the American team.  Your task is to capture enemy checkpoints and make sure your captured checkpoints are defended, don't worry, the game maps are designed for the players to make good strategic plans for defending, flanking, ambushing etc. Each team has 2-3 squads depending on the server size, each team will have a different task depending on what the leader's (Or known as the NCO, head of squad) plan is to defeat the opposing team.
At the moment since it is in alpha stage there are only 3 different classes to choose from in the game and those are the NCOs which have the thompson machine gun or the german mp40, or the infantry which have the US m1 Garand or the german K98, then there are the Support gunners with the heavy machine guns. The next update is expected to have drivable vehicles (cars only, no tanks) so squads in the future will be mechanised.
This game has many cool usable realistic features such as being able to climb over objects such as walls, fences, some sorts of barbed wire and ladders of course.
