Stalker Model Ripping Program

Not sure how it works, but someone tipped me off, so i thought, may as well post this here, im no modeller myself, but someone else might have use for it.

If anyone will be ripping some stuff, we could definitely use some more flora and vegetation models. I can probably get some more nature ground textures myself.

I'm really looking into this, I will try to learn how to rip some models.

I've been putting some time into using this and it requires a pretty beefy system though. Basically, you run any DX8 or DX9 game and save a frame while playing, the frame finds the materials and model paths of everything being rendered in the game and saves it into a special format. From there you open it using a plugin with 3Ds Max. It's pretty nice, it saves shaders and the whole lot.

Edit: I've been doing a bit more work and it does not appear to work for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky, it will crash and create a corrupted 3DR file.
