GSC Game World is glad to announce a new project
in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series ? S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
(working title) for PC.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat will become a third stand-alone
game in the highly-acclaimed Survival FPS S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.
The project is slanted for release in autumn 2009.

Looks like they took a look at the mods created for SHoC and put a lot of the shit in there already. Perhaps this won't be as big of a disappointment as Clear Sky...
I heard they took out faction wars.. If they did whats the point? I mean in the previous games thats all there was to do. Also sounds like Pribori story too...
I hope they take into aspect of making the world more dynamic, and perhaps some new creatures, after all, what sparks stalker off as brilliant, is the horror which is built up, as the human mind is afraid of what he does not know of, that's why it was so great.
Well infact original S.T.A.L.K.E.R was made by film S.T.A.L.K.E.R wich was realised in 1979.
The movie had no mutants but it had anomalys and wishgranter aka Monolith.
Main char was "Stalker" yes he was called "Stalker" his work was to get everyone who wants to see the monolith to it , so they can ask for what they want .
He had only 1 main rule "You are not allowed to ask anything from Monolith" .
One of the guys who wanted to get to the monolith had a bomb as he wanted to destroy "Zone" (I guess that's how Duty appeard)
2nd One said it was greate and it should stay (I guess it's freedome then)
Stalker (Was neutral and didn't want zone to be destroyed as the zone was his money and food) (That's how stalkers appeard in game)
Anomalys (Anomalys are in Africa Anomalys too. Nothing els to say)
Bandits ( Well ingame they are also bandits)
What i want to say is that the game is only 1 or 2 % Similar to the movie .
I hope this 3rd S.T.A.L.K.E.R will be something epic!
Think ya got Freedoms views wrong. They want the zone to be open to the public in all aspects in information and free entry and access they also rather co-exist with the zone rather then fight it they also did some research but probably not seriously. Because every time you fight the zone it fights back harder on everyone.

Yeah some games are good, but sometimes they could be better if they weren't involved :P
Same with THQ,they fucked up SoC that much,so they had to start it over from scratch,some models from 1935 still exist,If you see that video on TV in bar,it's a small vid from S.T.A.L.K.E.R:Oblivion Lost (Alpha).
