Absolutely. I'm making the map with numerous hideouts for all the factions and players.
This map will be seriously epic, it's the community project, everyone has a influence in whats going to happen and be put into this map, so when i oepn up the thread, we can start planning the other features, and draw up the overall plan.
As long as there's one picture of epicness a page, it'll assuredly be the hottest topic on the forum.
But can we have fog please! It is essential to Stalker, as it brings a point to exploration.
Even if it is just in a Swamp area, or the Mono's hideout.

Wow, well, we played in it the other night and I thought it looked decent for a WIP. One thing I always liked was the idea of a three story, half-bombed out apartment building for people to set up their own tiny little loner bases.

You're doing some good work Hostel. I really like what you've done with the bar. It almost felt like I was playing SoC. I look forward to whatever you plan on working on next.

Add much bushes around the forest so it doesn't look so dead wasteland
I know the map is in its first release but I have some criticism and suggestions.
The transition between textures ( mainly between the duty base and the dirt surrounding it ) it extremely abrupt and doesn't look natural at all. The base itself shows it has taken a little damage from time, and you'd think that the cement/concrete flooring on the very rim would too.
Another thing are the textures of the outer wall and anything else that uses those textures. To me it is painful to look at. Mainly due to the green(?) splotch that keeps repeating itself over and over on a single brush. It just doesn't look good at all.
In the bar, near the entrance to the counter and kitchen : In the hallway between that and the sitting area there are small skinny walls surrounding the hallway on the inside. Part of it just abruptly stops. Not sure if something is going to be added there or not, because it does look like something is going to be.
Other than that the map is great looking. Love the lighting and gritty atmosphere. The base itself has some very nice brushwork in a few areas. I'll be happily awaiting the next version.
I like it but its way to dark in buildings! I had to spawn lights IN the bar!
very nice but open zones needs to be filled more houses outside the village / old half houses i mean and the fog is broken
Maybe freedom could have a bar like in Clear sky ^_^?

The fog is not broken. You can only do so much optimization before there is really nowhere else to go but add a max render distance. Since most of the zone is a vast wasteland, there is far too much to render and there is no way around it.
