Title: Lootable suits.

Why are suits lootable I mean stalkers pay for them and they could be investing 20k and up on some suits and to lose it to some prick who decides to blow you away. Now I love the looting system I think it's great only problem I see with it is the fact suits are lootable other then that every things great. I only hope people would kind of agree with me and consider to make suits non-lootable. Okay and thanks.

Suits shouldn't be lootable not just because that's how it is in S.T.A.L.K.E.R, they should be like that for gameplay reasons too.

My thoughts

The items dropped are picked at random, theres a 50/50 change you won't even drop anything at all, soon there will be alittle feature which puts in a mixture of "fake" content which was not on the player, to make corpses abit more fruitful...

We have plans for a better suit system, and weapon system for that matter...

a drag and drop feature from your inventory, where you can drag your suit to the suit slot, and it will change your model and give you the effects of that suit, same for weapons in the weapon slot.

and also, id like to announce, that there will be a hungermod, basicly, every half a hour or so, you will feel hungry, this will give the S.T.A.L.K.E.R a point to have food, and even have some benifits, such as the energy drink giving you alittle boost to your running, or some fresh bread, giving you abit more moral.

Eating stale bread will make you ill, which isn't the best of things, theres even a small chance of symtoms like Diarrhea, which will cause the player to have to stop what they are doing, it's alittle caution to not eat bad food/drink.

Drag and drop system is win, but hunermod I am not so sure about, especially if the only way to get food is to buy it and have to pay uber high prices for stuff because the traders will have a monopoly on it.

Hungermod will be win if:

Uses accumulated time, so if you left hungry, you'll join back on, hungry.

Traders menu has access to various foods with low prices.

Custom Food models, I'm sure that the tourist delight can is going good
We could get some custom modeled bread so those without DoD aren't screwed over,
maybe some Vodka and energy drink. The works, basically.

I wouldn't mind doing the bread if I could just find out how the compiler/decompiler works.  [heh]

Hungermod would be pretty nice with the stalker models like the sausage or the tourist delight. :yes:

I think that hunger, on itself, should be in BUT please add some AFK like state so player can stand still and wont die from hunger.Sometimes its really annoyingx.x
About lootable suits...
Give them different stuff.For example-low level suits(bandit, beginners jackets)-can be lootable but player wont lose them(balancing)
Usual S.T.A.L.K.E.Rs suit-can be looted and player could lose it with chance of 25
Heavy stuff like exos or SEVA suits(one that ecologist usually sell, freaking awesome suit in first S.T.A.L.K.E.R, best one but cant beat Exoskeleton)-can be looted but with chance of 25 OR maybe even have trap in it(grenade or something) with again, 25 chance.Player will lose it with 50 chance.
I hope that should be fine.And about traps..i just remember hearing story in S.T.A.L.K.E.R about guy that somehow managed to die by looting some body, it blew him up.Trap was there i guess.So..yea.
:EDIT:Nevermind, i seen about exos and SEVA's..so no being able to loot them.

Im being serious.. or just make it every hour realtime and add sleeping. (sleeping doesnt do anything though, its for rp sake.)

Every hour = hungry all the time. Whos hungry all the time? Perhaps sleeping could give a stamina boost? Quicker reaction time?

This is roleplay. We don't need a hungermod or a sleeping mod, we can do that ourselves. If you get a stamina boost or some shit from eating or sleeping, that's just going to end up mingy.

Hunger mod would suck the fun out of the game. It's not fun to drop whatever your doing and go eat, but oh wait the trader isn't on and you die.....

Also, The lootable suits are just terrible, I've seen five different cases where loner Deathmatch players to get their suits...

Yeah i think suits should not be lootable.I mean other stuff like guns should but some suits coast lots and lots of money.Pretty much all suits are over 10000 Rubles.And imagin loseing a Skat 9 or another suit.

The looting system should be taken out. You can't have RPG and roleplay in the same script. Roleplay is all about using the human mind to create stories and follow through with the story you think of based on your character's attitude and other things. RPG is a game where you want to progress your character with better guns and armor and items. It just doesn't flow together. Looting is just another reason for deathmatchers to kill. So now instead of them killing for that players weapons and armor and whatever other useless items people carry around.

Guns and armor should be a aesthetic factor. They should be used to show your character's style and basic theme. A perfect example is the spas I always carry around with Gatlin, I rarely kill in roleplay, so the only real reason I have it is to give of the dominant vibe of a automatic shotgun.

I don't think suits should be lootable, they cost too much money. I don't buy suits enless it's the Rookie Jacket. I just use my spawn suit and the Rookie Jacket.

Another thing I don't like about looting suits, is lets say, you kill a Freedomer. You loot his body and... woop! He has a Skat 6! Then you use it in character. Well, why the hell would a Freedom person carry a heavy, Military Skat 6 around with him? Exactly.
