The Sims 3
The Sims 3 is the next installment of the Sims series getting ready for release.  The Sims 3 has taken an interesting change in pace from the way the game works in the first 2 installments.  In the Sims 3, is now in control over every sim in the neighborhood, simultaneously.  Yes, you can go anywhere in the sim neighborhood, without any loading time.

Basic Game Play Changes
The game play has also been simplified.  There are only 6 needs that your sim needs to take care of now, hunger, bladder, energy, social, hygiene, and fun.  Comfort and environment have been removed to simplify game play.

Build & Buy Mode Changes
In build & buy mode, players now have more liberty to choose where they place their items, for the squares on the grid, have been made 4 times smaller.  Items can also be freely rotated, and items such as chairs and tables can easily be moved together now.

There is an auto roof feature that automatically fixes itself when walls or changed, and it is now easier to make basements.  Most existing furniture can also be recolored and retextured.

Creating your Sim
In short, the Sim Creator has been greatly improved upon.  You are now allowed a lot more freedom to create the sim you always wanted too.  Instead of there only being 3 body types (as there was in Sims 2) there is now a dynamic fitness bar, that allows you to shape your sim from an obese pig, to a muscular stud.  When customizing hair, the player is shown a circle with all shades and hues of colors, and able to choose different main hair color, tips, roots, and even highlights.

Sim Traits
Each sim also becomes more diverse with traits now.  These traits are very diverse and make your sim unique, it changes how he interacts with other sims and the world around him.  There are over 80 of them.  Some of the traits are Evil, Slob, Good Sense of Humor, Charismatic, Loner, Computer Whiz, Vegetarian, Frugal, Clumsy, Athletic, Hot Headed, Lucky, Insane and Flirty. It is not possible to give a Sim traits that contradict each other such as Brave and Cowardly.

So sad, this game is such an emo magnet. I still like it though. It's one of those games you have to play yourself to understand why it's fun, looking over someones shoulder who's playing it doesn't justify it.

It's really evident if you go to mod the sims 2. All the custom content there is all emo bullshit. Black finger nails for guys anyone? How about scarred wrist texture?

There are alot of emo stuff, but theres also alot of modern day stuff, alot of house designers use the sims 2 as a marketing plan to show people what their home would be like. Sims 2 was a great game, the engine was abit choppy, but it had a unique feel, it could have had alot more content in it like the sims 1, but i liked it. Sims 1 is by far the better candidate becuase of the feel it gave you, the music, the background sound, the actions and content... like that clown... i missed that in the sims 2, becuase it was so random... same for that bear XD

I thought of a genius idea.

So im sitting there making Tenel, and I base him off Tenel Freedom leader. And i realize SOME ONE SHOULD PORT THE MODELS TO THE SIMS 3!

Prototype is a very unique and fun game, i got about 3 days worth of playing out of that, sims 3 is... well... rubbish, compared to the first and 2nd sims 2, it's a downgrade.

Ok listen I have The Sims 3, and The Sims. I have never played The Sims 2 but I have to say despite the somewhat lower reviews than The previous two Sims games I think The Sims 3 is great fun! The graphics are definitely an improvement over The Sims 2, but if you have The Sims 2 already, maybe you should just stick with that and stop saying how The Sims 3 is no different. KTHXBYE :P
