I wanted to get a few things straight here to hopefully ease some of your questions. So I will begin putting down as much as I can.
1. Yes I am going to expand the map, a lot.
2. It's going to stay as a night map.
3. No I don't care that you don't have ep2, it's been around for two years and it's been $15 nearly the whole time.
4. Like I've said to some already, do NOT suggest the bleeding obvious. I know what generally needs to be done.
5. "It's laggy! The map is unoptimized!" No, it's not. I ran a benchmark on the SRP server when there was about 20 players, and a decent amount of props and my FPS would not go under 45 at 1680 x 1050 8X AA and 16xAF everything max. I own an HD 4830, a sub $100 graphics card. When people begin spawning props and building stuff, the FPS goes down in certain situations. So, I would both clean out your Gmod directory and use as little props as possible and don't just add props for scenery detail, only use props when you need to make something useful. I'm going to tell you one more time, it IS the props that are causing the lag, the map is absolutely fine. In fact, it is optimized very well.

There is one thing I've noticed for those experiencing lag. Try these to methods to reduce it.
1.) Rejoin, This usually works to reduce the majority.
2.) I'm gotten multiple people telling me the lake causes lag, Try looking away and see if it helps.

Lag is caused by members spawning tons of props which to be honest... they don't need... Lamps lag the server alot.. and lights are abit weak too.
You know the pipe that runs into the lake... Well.. I keep pluging it up with my dick. Ill have to stop.
Problem Solved.
But seriously i NEVER EVER get any lag from it. AND THE MAP IS FUCKING AWSOME HOSTEL. :D

The sewers are the only place in the map where everything isn't constantly rendered.
The water tower looks a little out of place, maybe a small stucture at its bace or putting it a little closer to the town maybe?
