Well i got good news on the server download part. We are officially finished shoving models into our ftp and its time i make an official mega content pack which will make all errors dissapear. Yes it will work and that will be the last thing you will have to download for the hl2 HGN community. There may be a few new sound or small material DLs every so often but nothing to bitch about, even though creeding likes to bitch about every small thing which doesn't really help me one bit.

remove anything from the resources file, we loose players if they have to download tons of stuff. If they want, they can sign up and download the models.
