After hating my older map and deleting it in frustration and play with my penis for 2 months, I thought it might be time to start working.
From time to time I would get going, then some kind of problem would arise. I think I'm going to follow through on this one. So to begin, this will be the "center" of the map where everyone can socialize. Everything around the area is the wilderness, where anything goes, ANYTHING. (even rape without lube.)

It is I guess megaton inspired, the only concept taken is the crater make from some sort of bomb. Perhaps from a cold-war Russian missile test.

The amount of detail is large, the docks and floors are made out of individual planks of wood and shacks are made from sheets of metal. Don't worry though, the map is plenty optimized and will run well on any 3 - 4 year old PC. VIS compile times only took a mere 4 seconds even with all this complicated geometry with the effective use of func_detail.

Nope, you just have to be leet like me to know how to quickly create detailed stuff without using wasted time. There are easy shortcuts to making stuff really well, people just don't think.
Here's how the noob would do it: click block tool, create block, texture it, repeat.
How the intermediate did it: click block tool, create block, texture, shift + click and drag and drop to copy, repeat copying.
Yes, most people stop at that point, but there are more innovative ways to make stuff even faster, it just requires some brain power.

Cool, my suggestion is that you could create a marsh using displacements to add feature and in certain places add a trigger_hurt similar to stepping into the bad waters in canals in hl2, trimming around it is an entity to set off the sound of radiation to a certain radius.

We are considering using a function, so exosuits are resistant in radiation places, it would prove interesting, we shall see how it goes Royz, also, go check out the Trader Npc !

Sounds good, but I thought exo-suits were built for physical attacks other than anomally resistance. (But it is better than a rookie jacket of course =P) I recommend that afterwards you code the Seva Suit with higher resistance so that it has a purpose because I think the prices are still high (Still have to join and check on the barkeep, so if I'm wrong, tell me so.)
Also a good idea for the pocket of radiation and such can be used to conceal stashes. (I think there is a stash sent/backpack in the code.)
Exo suits= Bullet proof.. (to a point)
SEVA suit= HAZMAT' condom.

There's no way that area is laggy, each board being individual would hardly affect performance, especially as they're all func_detail.
