I am not going to run some community, nor making my own server, instead I would like to know your opinion on Mass Effect roleplay.And if there will be alot of people liking this idea, it will sure be easier to suggest to some community, or atleast starting some forum RP, eh?
First of all, we would need to choose timeline right?We have 5 opinions:
1.) Humans going to space, war with Turians.
2.) Saren going on rampage, geth problems.
3.) Not much of problems to galaxy, only Humans being attacked by Collectors.
4.) Mass Effect 3 timeline, Reapers getting into galaxy and raping everything they see.
5.) A very custom-like, after Reapers left.No Geths, No reapers.Most likely re-building, helping harm people.And other passive stuff (Or some scavenging, dunno)
After we choose the timeline, we would need to focus on some kind of roleplay, and where it would be.
I came up only with three ideas.
A mercenary group signs up for a mission to clean some geths, but they get lost on the planet.
OR
Omega. Gangs and mercenary group fighting each other over Omega, and trying to be favorite of Aria.And citizens of Omega, most likely some dangerous people/criminals.
OR
Two servers. One Omega, most likely action and Citadel server - trading, and only passive roleplay.Unless you would like to try something there and getting caught by C-Sec.
Of course, there is lack of maps, and some models - that might be one of the reasons why nobody started it yet right?
And of course as it is roleplay, no Spectres, no Legion-geth characters.

I am a specter geth from the future, your argument is invalid. Also adding in MORE servers is a bad idea. Not saying it wouldn't work if it had the content.

Edit: Or maybe it was just people talking about using Mass Effect alien skins as created races for Starwars Roleplay?

HGN has enough servers with a thin enough population between them as it is.
I love ME's universe but I don't see this happening. If someone did it well I would spend all my time on it but the problem is everyone is going to be a Spectre/Shepard/other badass and it wouldn't be fun.
I would absolutely love this, but it may require that new models are ported from Mass Effect 3, Or we reskin or color the one that have been ported from ME2 already. Although I can agree with paintcheck said, I think more people would be interested in becoming different races than just human. Quarian....Turian....Salarian...Geth...Krogan.

I just want to see, íf anyone actually is interested in Mass Effect roleplay. If there was like..damn alot of people, it would be easier to come up with a server, probably private for first weeks/months and if it was successful it could go public.
Also just one thing about the races, sure most of people would like to play as someone else than human, but Quarians for example would be limited right?I mean Quarians are very loyal to their migrate fleet and most of them only leave because of the "pilgrimage".
When im thinking about it, would be fun to roleplay with a Hanar.(The lack of Hanars in ME2 and ME3, shame ,_,)
Mass Effect has a big lore, it is a shame that nobody uses it for a roleplaying server.

A long time ago we tried one, it was a failure to launch situation that we all know and love.
There was already a Mass Effect roleplay being done and it was did and it was utter shit.

While we're at it, why don't we just do Elder Scrolls RP, and Killing Floor RP and ANOTHER HL2 RP and Warhammer 40K rp and Starship Troopers RP, and Star Wars RP and Super Mario RP and Mechassault RP and another Fallout RP server.

These statements seem contradictory.
I already frowned upon it and stated in the shoutbox that we don't need any more servers and advertising for other people to do mass effect roleplay on our forums isn't the way forward either.
