Post in-character field reports below.
<:: This is Paladin Kevin Shieldman, and I have strange news to report Brothers. A strange black object was seen flying over to the south (// I count Gas station = north, so other way is south) of our base. It landed quickly, then took off and left. I could not see what was going on over there, but seeing this has made me uneasy now. That is all I have to report, Paladin Kevin Shieldman out.
Keep an eye out for the object if it is spotted again. Report in if it's seen. Try to get some footage of it if possible using your helmet camera.

<:: This is Paladin Kevin Shieldman reporting. A few strange events occurred today, I recorded two of them with my helmet camera as to give you all a better depiction of it. The first thing that happened was a group of wastelanders hung out by the broken oil truck crashed by the road. Another man came over, and must have shot at them or done something to make them run, because they did.
<:: File 03/10/12 -1 Playing
*Three men are seen around the truck, and another man comes from the side of the screen. He pulls something out, and the men run behind the truck. As the newcomer comes behind the truck, the video cuts off*
<:: I had to cut off the video because a wastelander came to the perimeter. He asked a few general purpose questions, which I quickly answered and sent him off. Another wastelander came, and asked if we could protect his new town he was creating, then another came with him and the third was still around. I sent all three of them off, and continued patrolling.
<:: NCR troopers came soon after. Two came over, the ranger and another I have not seen. The ranger did the talking, and asked if he could have some scrapped or broken power armor. He also asked if he could speak to Elder Niel. I sent them off soon, and continued my patrol again.
<:: About one hour later, a squad of five men left the NCR's village. They went to the old Repconn facility, and when they left minutes later, they were firing their weapons. They fired behind them ater enemies I could not make out. They ran up to the old truck, and a massive creature (// Antlion, dont know what to say ICly) came out and attacked them. They continued their retreat to town later.
<:: File 03/10/12 -2 Playing
*The video shows weapons being discharged by the Repconn facility, then the men running. They stop at the rocks, and are attacked by the creature, they fend it off getting a few injured, and retreat into the NCR town. the video ends*
<:: I could not tell what happened from then. This is all I have to report. Paladin Kevin Shieldman out.
Paladins Kevin and Michael have done some reconnaissance with me recently. We've come across two factions, both non-hostile, who seem to hold significant power in this region.
One is the New California Republic, a wastelander coalition that has some decent manpower and does regular patrols in the valley. They are non-hostile and even a bit friendly. They traded a broken metal fabrication protectron I was interested in for some water filters. We're re-purposing the robot for explosive ordinance disposal.
The other is far more elusive, men in black T-45d power armor--except their apparent commander who wears a model I've not seen before. It has yellow eyes and devil-like horns. They refused to tell me their name, or their business, calling it 'confidential' but rumor states they are a group called the Enclave. They too are non-hostile, but far less friendly. They just want to be left alone like us. I suspect they may be technology reclaimers like us. I bet the scribes would love to have a look at their armor...

<:: This is Paladin Kevin Shieldman reporting. Yesterday as I and the new Junior Paladin were patrolling the
base, a giant ant appeared! We fired at it with the help of Senior Knight and a wastelander, but ultimately had to retreat into the base as we couldn't take it down. There were no deaths for our part, but I assume the wastelander was killed by the beast. I and the Junior Paladin had our helmet cameras on, and I will ask the Junior Paladin for his helmet so I may upload his video.
<:: Playing File 03/12/12 -1
*It shows a giant ant coming from the sand, and charging the paladins, aiming for the one recording this video. You see him get beat on by the beast for a bit before he begins to retreat and call for everyone to get into the bunker. As he retreats, you see the Senior Knight take a hit from the thing to save the recorder's life.*
<:: As you can see, Senior Knight Carpenter did very well at this time, he even saved my life. I will also need repairs done to my armor, which is waiting in the storage facility right now. That is all I have to report, and I will be with the medical scribes for now. Paladin Kevin Shieldman out.
// Just a quick note, as you now know, we won't be ICly using helmet cams anymore. Take pictures ICly with a hand-held camera if necessary. In other words, screenshot.
<:: Field report - We've acquired two new robotic units, One named Sprocket - A Mr.Gusty Nuka-Company model. I salvaged the Flamer-suite off it as we're lacking one, and promptly weaponized it.
A mercenary came to sell a robot to us, with a few debilitation shots from Sprocket's plasma combat suite, we scared him off, and took in the robot. I repaired the damages with some broken armour and hydraulics, It's hull is at 90%, it has 9mm and 10mm weapons, and I wish to keep it as my project, I named it SDU-2 For now, and uploaded SDU-1's protocols into it.
As for Sprocket, I made sure it is now field-ready to accompany the retired Paladin on his journey.

<:: This is Paladin Kevin Shieldman reporting. As I went out, I saw some wastelanders have set up a small town at the gas station. I went to go check it out, and took some pictures. The town seems to be of no threat at the time. The only danger it poses is how close it is the our secret exit. The roof of the shed above our exit has collapsed, and I do not think they will be moving the roofing for awhile.

This is Journeymen Knight Adam Jones just checking in, i hope i can be a great asset. I noticed the NCR sent three men recently to the gas station, just a heads up if they are to check the shed in future. I will keep an eye on the gas station when on guard duty. What are my orders should they somehow discover the entrance and try to gain access?

Knight Jones,
Try to keep any patrols you do on the grounds of the base, no further than the bunker hill. I prefer you stay underground without a Paladin on the surface with you however. If someone is stupid enough to illegally gain access to the bunker however, you have authorization handed down from the Elder himself to terminate the intruder(s). If you want to keep the NCR or anyone else from slipping in the back door, I suggest speaking to one of the Senior Knights about acquiring a combat shotgun or SPAS-12. If you're not fixing things or doing other maintenance, I want you stationed at that back entrance.
On an unrelated topic, something's been going haywire in the axillary room. I want you to shut down Generator 2 and leave Generator 1 on as a backup to see what's wrong. I suspect there's a turbine broken or something. If you can't fix it yourself, seek out a scribe or a higher ranking knight.

All of my observations were done from the bunker hill and i will stay underground without a Paladin on the surface as intructed. I will see what i can do with the generator but it's not my expertise and so might fail in the task. I will speak to someone on acquiring a shotgun of some sorts.

Putting my two cents out there, I think, we should burn it all. Those dry pinewood shacks should make any vaporized gas lingering around those pumps go up with a nice pop, It'd be a shame if anyone was still in the shacks at the time, of course.
A real shame.

<:: This is Paladin Kevin Shieldman reporting. Some strange occurrences happened today. Me and a Paladin which I have not learned the name of captured a protectron today. It just walked towards our base, so I got it to shut down and I dragged it to the bunker doors. The paladin came out, and asked what I was doing, I told him that I had shut down the robot and was bringing it inside. He shot the protectron in the back, taking out it's combat module. Afterwords I reached inside, and flipped it's power offline. We have brought it inside and left it in a case in storage, please send a scribe and some knights to search through it's files and repair it as soon as possible.
<:: Next off, after an hour or so, I come back outside and see the town (Please read my other eport for more details) has been demolished! Afterwords I look to my right and see two wastelanders on the dune. I asked what they were doing, they told me they were watching the battle, I do not know who was fighting nor did I inquire. They soon left and went to the maintenance tunnel shed. I had to go over and kick them away, but I do not know if they still set their church up over there. Well I was telling them to not set up there without giving away the tunnel, I saw a vertibird land in the background. It soon left and I told them to go set up in those shacks near where the vertibird landed but they said it was owned by a super mutant. I soon left after they moved away.

This is Paladin Titus replying to Jr. Paladin 'Pyro'
Though your suggestion may be noble and best intrest at heart. Selling technology to wasters is surely against the Codex, to do such deeds would mean us corrupt. Let me explain and show why the Codex proves correct, only a matter of days ago the Enclave and NCR prepared to fight and did so, the Enclave made use of technology (Our community of believes was forged from the aftermath of war to stop the same repeat) However I only saw what I saw in the Codex, a repeat on a smaller scale of what happened on the day the bombs fell. The Enclave fought the NCR and the NCR fought back with there pre-war projectiles. Though the Enclave was defending itself, if we was to sell our technology the tech' would be abused defiantly. How could we place in the hands of others the same weapons used all those years ago? Technology must be shielded and kept away from others to only protect themselves. There is a reason our Codex excists brother, have faith in it.

Message:
You should proof-read Paladin, I mentioned buying technology -off- of wasters, not selling it to them.
Although, thanks for the history lesson. . . Again.
Jr. Paladin 'Pyro'
Paladins,
As you well know, if anyone approaches us offering technology, always follow this procedure: Ask them, "Is this a donation or do you wish to sell?" If they donate a substantial amount, I'd like them to be kept track of. If they wish to sell, here's some examples of what I used to purchase weapons for when I was a Senior Knight.
Scrap metal - 5-10 caps.
Storage devices (Holotapes, USBs) - 25-50 caps.
Handheld computers (such as vault-tec PDAs like the pipboy): 50-100 caps. (If it's a pipboy though, and they don't wanna give it up, inform a superior. Those are important.)
AEP7 - 800 to 1000 caps.
AER9 - 1200 to 2000 caps.
Tri-Beam - 2300 to 2500 caps.
Plasma Pistol - 1000 to 1200 caps.
Plasma Rifle - N/A. If a waster stumbles across a plasma rifle or other significant plasma technology, I want it relayed to either myself, the Head Knight, or the Head Scribe. We want to know where it came from.
None of these prices above are official in any way. Barter as you see fit. If you must trade technology, only do so for better technology, and only do so with the authorization of a Senior member. For instance, I would have no quarrels with trading a laser rifle for something as powerful as a Sentry Bot that can be repaired and re-armed. This is just an example.
However, don't flat out steal any technology if we don't need to. That will cause us problems. There was a small chapter out east a few years ago in the Bluegrass Wasteland, around Ohio and what not. They were killing wastelanders for something as measly as a pathetic AEP7 laser pistol. This Brotherhood chapter was consequently wiped out by another faction in the area. So long as we avoid getting into any negative politics with any of the tribal factions (or these unusual Enclave folks) we should be alright.
In other news, I hear Head Knight Avalon Cullen is thinking about retirement. I suggest the other Senior Knights get busy, because one of them is going to end up taking the position.
Signed,
Head Paladin J. Anderson
Senior Knight Andrew Carpenter:
Today I went to check the blast door and I saw Head Paladin J. Anderson carrying the burning headless corpse of a waster out of the bunker. Paladins really gotta do a better job of closing and locking the blast doors so wasters don't keep getting in here. That was the third one this week.
<:: Senior Knight Carpenter, I have noticed this also. Though we cannotbdo much about it other then step up our security measures. When we leave the bunker, the lock is on the inside of the blast doors. So we cannot get to the lock in order to lock the doors.
<:: Also, a reminder: Any scribes or knights who are not doing anything rightt now, please go look at the internals and files of the protectron that was captured recently.
<:: Paladin Kevin Shieldman out.
Paladin Titus here, afew days ago me and a Paladin picked up a Protectoron outside the base, I had it disabled fully as it would be a risk to have a fully armed droid such as that around the base. We had it shipped into the cargo bay and stored promptly. I'd like to request a Scribe Analyse the data from the droid so it may be added to the Codex and I'd request a knight to repair the droid from the damage I inflicted so we may reprogram it to suit our needs. I'd like to request we program the droid for scouts out near the NCR terratory so we may know the latest infomation around the desert.
Titus out.
Attention all members of the Brotherhood,
The Scribes inform me that there has been an increase in seismic activity in the Amargosa Valley as of lately. In anticipation for any potential natural disaster, I am placing you all on high alert. Be prepared to evacuate the bunker should an earthquake occur and damage it beyond use. If that happens, I already know of a new bunker we will migrate to. Begin evacuation drills of the facility in case of such an event.
I am aware this broadcast bends the rules about the chain of command. However, due to the urgency of its content, an exception must be made for the safety of our family.
Steel be with you,
Elder Lawrence Sumner Neil

Some wastrel; that looted a vault with his buddies, came up to me with a pip-boy, he ran when I wanted to look at it, so I hounded after him and set him on fire. But he still managed to out-run me. Jr. Paladin 'Pyro',
I've read the report. First I will have to go with Paladin Titus. Do not ever do that again. Ever. I know patrol can be somewhat boring to you juniors but being outside isn't a silly little privilege where you can have fun and test your weapons on wastelanders.
Second, I've seen you waste your flamer fuel. If you keep it up, there wont be any flamer fuel left to use within a couple days. I know you were chasing the supposed imposer but that job should be left to your laser pistol, not your flamer. You should be more conservative on your fuel unless it is in dire need.
Third, I will to have deny the hunting party request; for now. Mostly if he and his 'buddies' went in a vault and stole things in there, we will need to double make sure and gather them up. If he comes back lets welcome a 'vault dweller' into our bunker, have a chat on where he got his technology, what vault they went to and where. Hopefully get his buddies to come to us. Once we are done with them, if they are full of shit or do anything stupid, we can execute them. Until then, I want to hear from you of what this man looked, facial structure, hair color and such.

And, where did "Test your weapons on wastelanders" come from ma-am? That seems right out of order assuming anything of the sort.
Unless you seriously expect me to believe you regard sandcastles as wastelanders, or you just flick through reports without actually reading them, ma-am.
And I am conservative of my mix, but five tanks only come out as around 25 Liters (250 Units) And depending on the trouble, thats either a months worth or afternoons worth, it's all relative.
And he was wearing a jumpsuit with Riotgear. I didn't see his face.
That is all ma-am.

Two 10mm pistols need to be woked on, one wont fire and the other's magazine is jammed and also wont fire, i'll try and fix them if possible soon. Also i wouldn't mind requesting a shotgun of some kind if possible, we seem to have a fair share of buckshot but not many weapons to use them, also the lights are still playing up now and again in the hanger.

Knight Jones,
Seeing as you spend most of your time underground and doing your job (quite well might I add) I'll allow you to refurbish one of our old military shotguns for you to use for defense purposes. I recommend either the SPAS-12 or the Combat Shotgun.

On a side note, should I conclude your orders to fix the bunk-beds as the reprimand as to not fall asleep in full armor and the pilot-light still on?
And uh. . . The reason I went through so much fuel was, I was talking to an NCR share-cropper about getting some flour delivered, it came, and I wanted to make up for the bunks so I tried making a cake, the cropper said about 20 minutes at a medium-y heat would do. So I cooked it with my flamer at a low release pressure for about 15 minutes.

Attention all Brothers,
I regretfully inform you all that Head Paladin J. Anderson will be retiring from his post tonight. After years of honorable service, Anderson has decided to conclude his active service for the Brotherhood of Steel. To fill the gap, I have promoted Elizabeth Taylor to the position of Head Paladin. I have also promoted Ray Titus to Senior Paladin to fill the gap.
Former Head Paladin Anderson will remain with us for a short while longer before he returns to the Maxson Bunker, where he will join the Brotherhood of Steel high council in his retirement from combat duty. Steel be with you, brother Anderson. You've done us well.
In other news, due to increasing seismic activity in the Amargosa Valley, I have instructed the new Head Paladin to take a small recon force out west to search for a new bunker allegedly in the area. After discovering the new bunker to be usable, we will relocate our force to the new base. Head Knight Avalon will lead the logistics operation. All Knights will be ordered to pack up for the move. We will self-destruct the old bunker during our departure to prevent any leftover technology from falling into the wrong hands.
Steel be with you all,
Elder Lawrence Sumner Neil

I would just like to make this message to tell you about a incident i witnessed involving the Enclave. They spotted a raider and shot her in the leg and then slit her throat. After that they moved to a waster nearby and fired apon her, she fell to the ground where to what i believe the same man who slit the Raider's throat, stabbed the waster in the head digging the blade in killing her. These Enclave seem to be brutal and from what i saw the waster did nothing to provoke them. Just giving a heads up about these people who seem to be on the same technological stage as us or maybe even higher.

Senior Paladin Titus here.
You confirm that the Enclave have been using acts of aggression upon the Wastelanders?
I am sure the Elder wont stand by and allow this, its in the Codex to stop things like this. I was right to mistrust these Enclave.
If the Enclave are using technology to attack innocent Wastelanders, we have a problem out there in the wastes. Head Paladin, what do you advise on this situation?
Head Scribe Bolter here, interupting I know but it must be said.
These "Enclave" have a higher rate of technology then us, and nothing in the Codex speaks about the armor they used. They are developed beyond Pre-war technology, I would be glad to have a piece of there power armour in my possession so I and my Scribes may study for possible weaknesses etc. If war is a option, I would love for one of you noble Paladins to bring me a live unarmed Enclave trooper so I may disesct information from him as well as study his armor like I previously stated.
I trust the Elder and Head Paladin will choose our next course of diplomatic actions wisely.

After watching the two men from the Enclave approach another waster, i approached to observe. After they approached me we talked briefly, they said they were looking for answers which they were asking the waster, they never told me what they were asking only that they like to know what is going on in the area. They asked if i was hostile and i said i was not as i was not being threatened or had any hostility from them. They asked me if they could trade two laser rifles for a project of theirs, i declined as we do not trade tech. They told me that they do not want to be hostile and would like good relations, i told them i would pass that onto my superiors as i have just done. They were both weilding some kind of Power armour and laser rifles, they seem to have high technology. I'm sorry if it was inapproriate to have spoken with them.

Junior Paladin Pyro here.
Perhaps you have been misguided brother Titus?
Tenant Ten; Do not allow emotions to jeopardize the lives of your Brothers.
Tenant Seven; Reclamation of technology is of top priority. ; Defending some wastrels should not take your priority
If you hate the enclave for their aggression then that is your hate. It should not lead any of us into a war.
As the Head Paladin told me herself, we are not protectors of the wasteland, we are observers, and we take what we need. We should not engage in a full-scale war for some petty wastelanders.
Senior Paladin Titus here.
Junior, I think its time you opened your mind to the bigger issue. Enclave are using technology to kill innocents. Our job, our order, our begining started with the the fight to protect others from harming each other -AND- themselves with technology. If the Enclave are killing people for no reason that we know of but being in a area they deem theirs that must lead us to a conclusion that they are fighting to maintain domination over a location. But it'd make sense for them to fight the NCR on there turf and NCR turf because they are at war, the NCR started it. -BUT- if the innocent are dying for merely trying to suvive then there is a problem.
I advise you search the soul of the Codex, and while your at search your own soul.
PS: Do not accuse me of hating others, I distrust them just like everyone else.
PSS: Knight Jones, you did the right thing. Good work, its valuable intell even if its discussion.
Junior Paladin Pyro.
Does that mean if the NCR execute prisoners with a laser-pistol, we should start all-out war and sacrifice our battle-brothers in pointless war? Because at it's base point, that seems to be your working logic.
Former head Paladin Anderson signing on.
Pyro, you misinterpret the situation. Keep in mind that if these people are attacking wastelanders unprovoked, they may very well be a direct threat to us as well. Defending the wasters, as you say, is not our concern. However, defending ourselves from external threats is.
That being said, although I no longer hold any authority, I'd strongly advise the current Head Paladin to put the base on a moderate lockdown.
Sincerely,
J. Anderson
Junior Paladin Pyro.

Thank you for your support Brother.
And do me a favor Junior Paladin, show me some respect. I am pointing out what I believe, you try to attack my judgement on things mentally and its giving me a headach.

Due to the current circumstances i've set up a crude barricade to stop people getting in through our flank on the left. I've also made some barricades from the main gate towards the bunker entrance, and i've made a couple of sandbag walls for protection when using the roof as a vantage point.

<:: Paladin Kevin Shieldman reporting. It has come to m attention that some wastelanders have set up a settlement in the old Enclave base across the sector. I inquired what they were doing there, and asked them what they had found in the base. He told me that his friend found a hunting rifle, and nothing more. I quickly searched through the base one last time, and he told me they had found some boxes. He brought them over to me in a pile, and they seemed pretty empty. Though, to be on the safe side, I burned the crates since I did not have the right tools to bring the boxes back or open them, and I could not leave them there with the wastelander alone. I also took some pictures of what they have done to the place, which is not much other then adding a wooden watch post on the wall. They do not seem like a threat, though we should keep our eyes on them, as they took the Enclave's old base, and they might find something that we might have missed on our sweeps through there.

Report: Well couple days back I met a lone vault dweller who been out for years, He was nice enough to offer the data he has gathered over six years. It included a relatively safe path to the west, Vault locations, Vault details from his old one, Mutant info, as well as other major geographical data. Have it all on drives ready to be looked at by the scribes.
<:: Paladin Kevin Shieldman reporting.
<:: It has come to my attention that that wastelander town, "New Haven", is quickly becoming a liability. They are no threat to us, but more of a pest. Well, more like it beckons pests. Since those wastelanders set up there, there has been an influx of wastelanders in the sector. I have counted in just this evening, 12 wastelanders coming into the sector. Some were the same ones coming in multiple times, others were completely new ones. This is becoming an annoyance, for every time I try going topside to make sure no wastelanders are in the perimeter, I see wastelanders walking around.
<:: It would not be a large problem if they did not see me, approach me, and try to converse with me. Every time I go topside and onto aptrol within the sector, a wastelander comes and asks me "Where did you get that?" or "Can I buy that weapon off you?". No matter how many times I tell them to piss off, they just keep coming back. I personally think something needs to be done with that town, or this will continue and soon enough, maybe dumb enough wastelanders will try entering the perimeter. We should do something about this, before it escalates.

Senior Paladin Titus here.
I advise we engage in direlect with New Havern and tell them to relocate. Also Shieldman, if anymore approch you raise your weapon and threaten them off. Alot of these wasters are idiots and it seems the best way forward is to scare them off. Its almost as if the Super mutants are smarter, its shocking.
Me and a Brother observed a Super Mutant under attack by the NCR, if your asking me my respect for the NCR is lowering since they seem to open fire on whatever even without reason. I observed these Mutants communicate with the NCR and then be attacked. I'm glad I wasnt in the way, I'd be dead if I was. We got out of there before things went awol.
Any news on the Enclave, I still do not trust them especially since that attack on the NCR. Man that day was intresting, we managed to recover alot of Enclave armor though alot is broken, Plasma and a black box. The Head Scribe will love that.
Titus out.
Head Scribe Bolter here.
I thought I'd quickly mention we have not investigated the Enclave armor or the black box, how ever I will be analysing the data today with a fellow Scribe. Titus, thanks for the Tech'.
Also on another note and this is related to the defence of the bunker and as a Head Scribe I believe I have the right to demand for my safty in discovery in the Bunker.
These Outsiders are quite bothersome, interfering and problematic. I'd like to request we raise our base alert for the safty of our research.

Head Scribe,
I request that you make haste with that information. The Head Knight has been discussing with me a possible task for what appears to be a defector from the NCR. Normally we do not allow outsiders to join our ranks, but under the circumstances if he can complete a particular task for us, I will address the council and ask you, the Head Paladin, and Head Knight to hold a conference regarding the subject.
We wish to obtain more information on these Enclave and their technology, but we cannot simply send a handful of Paladins to do the work. It is too dangerous for the entire chapter if we are discovered. An NCR defector however is a deniable asset. The NCR is already at war with the Enclave, so if we send this soldier instead of even our best Paladins, he will not only serve the Brotherhood and prove his loyalty, he will prove himself a valuable asset. If he fails, the Enclave won't believe him if he says the Brotherhood sent him to begin with.
I ask that this mission remain confidential for now. For all intents and purposes, at this time, the NCR soldier in our custody is nothing more than a prisoner of war and has no right to know of our plans for him--yet. Though he may be a defector, we need to make sure he is not attempting to double cross us. That is the purpose of this mission. He will not likely accept such a task if he is still actually with the NCR. If that is the case, he will decline the mission and we will most likely release him (assuming of course he has not been exposed to anything top-secret).
We will discuss this matter further in due time.
Steel be with you,
Elder Lawrence Sumner Neil

<:: I tried your advice, Senior Paladin Titus. It somewhat worked. When he started to leave, he gave me the bird. This "town" of wastelanders, is really getting on my nerves. I mean for fucks sake, he would have waltzed right u to the gate if I had't started walking towards him. I still think we need to do something about that town.
<:: Paladin Kevin Shieldman signing out.
** EDIT **
<:: I have found out some new information today. We will not have to deal with New Haven ourselves. I heard that a vault will be attacking New Haven soon enough. So, if they beat them out of there, we could talk to the vault dwellers about their vault. Also, on a side note, the NCR seems to be spying on us since they are staying around our sector A LOT. Another note, the NCR said they will be helping out New Haven.
<:: And last of all, I have found where the Super Mutants went. They moved into an underground tunnel. There is a note and a bag of gore hanging from the ceiling. I did not see any super mutants, nor hear any. This tunnel may go very deep into the ground. I heard some gasses so if we go down there, nobody should go without power armor or a gas mask.

Titus here.
Yes, the NCR are spying on us for some reason, if any NCR enter the base your free to engage. We've given the Wasteland enough warnings. About that town New Haven, it'd be wise to assist the Vault dwellers as they may have technology and prehaps even valuable recruits. Take it from me, the Brotherhood are still pure human untouched by Radiation and so are they. I advise we assist them in there move.
After that, I advise we expand our grip in the sector and cordon the area off to stop Wasters, forward outposts will make the area much safer and much stronger especially if we are up against a incoming attack. Although I disliked those Enclave folks I have to say, I have a feeling we will be having a war against the NCR soon, they are over stepping their bounds.
Regarding the NCR and wasters,
When it comes to that settlement New Haven, I don't think it's necessary to kill any of them for them to get the message. Fire a few warning shots obviously. I don't want any wastelanders below the surface without explicit permission from the Head Paladin, the Head Scribe, or myself, the Head Knight. If you need to talk to a waster, that's what we have that building on the topside for.
As for the NCR, we're in a volatile situation with them. I'm putting the base on alert and partial lockdown. Knights are not to leave the base under any circumstances unless directed to do so by a Head Paladin or myself. The Head Scribe's orders and all but the Head Paladins' and Elder's direct orders are overridden by this decision. If the NCR tries busting into the base, you light them the fuck up with no mercy. I've been reading about how their idiot commander operates. I'd like this not to turn into a war, but if it does, we have vastly better technology than they as well as a far more easily defensible position.
I want to see what that NCR soldier we captured is capable of before his buddies hunt him down. I might have an idea though. If it comes down to it though, the NCR wants a deserter dead, right? You let me handle the politics...
<:: Head Knight Avalon Cullen ::>

Today something bad happened, A barrel of radiation that I have no clue where it came from but long story short it appeared in the bottom of the lake somehow and upon going just near it my geiger counter went mad, it started ticking and would not stop until I got around 5 feet away. Definitely irradiated much worse than before.
Regarding a clean up I'm unsure on how to clean it up.
Steel be with you,Lilly Wolfe
Titus here.
And how would we clean the radiation up? If it was that simple the entire Wasteland would be pre-war america again. Besides we have pressing matters, Knight you need to stay inside the base, not even exiting past the fences. Just keep focused on the NCR and the Wasters. They are our biggest threat right now.
I advise all of you read the lock down announcement if you are unaware but we are currently on lock down. That means no one exits the bunker with out my say so or the Head Paladin and above say so. That also means no one enters the base. Anyone comes near us we fire warning shots at them, they get closer ignoring the warning you'll injure them, if they enter you'll kill them. Follow the order to the letter and we'll be fine.
In the mean time during this lock down, I believe the Head Scribe has located an simulation terminal in the base, expect heavy training. I'd like all Paladins to be prepared for training, you'll soon be working closely with the Knights as we're on lock down. I also have the Head Knight requesting I involve his Knights in the simulation.
Let me give you a brief update in terms of what I know about the simulation program, it dates back to pre-war obviously and is set in a place called China. The name of the Campaign is called the Yangtze Campaign. The Head Scribe has told me there are glitches in the simulation, so expect weird encounters. Apart from that you'll be given Pre-war power armor excluding the Knights. When in simulation do not be alarmed as you may become confused. You may be not who you are in real life but a programed soldier for the simulation.
Information is limited, and not even the Head Scribes knows more. The simulation is buggy but should be safe. Be prepared for heavy fighting.
Titus out.
// We're currently planning a BoS event for S2, you'll be all required to make new characters for the event and only for the event. We'll update you all when the Event comes into play.
Titus here with intresting news.
I was on guard last night watching across the waste when I noticed three raiders enter the New Haven compound. I heard atleast six shots be fired and a woman screaming, after a while I noticed the raiders exit holding what seemed to be a bloody skull. I then observed a trap be laid for another New Haven waster. He suvived however I dont think he'll be walking any time soon. The Raiders bashed his legs in with a sledge hammer and took his weapons. New Haven got hit hard. Gotta' feel sorry for them.
Titus out.
Paladin Kevin Shieldman reporting.
Perhaps we should keep a heavier watch? From what I know of raiders, they are idiots, drug addicts, mentally unstable, or all of the above. If all of this is true, and there are raiders coming into our sector, they might come over to us and try climbing the gate. I would say keep a 24/7 watch up, we don't want to wake up to the sound of gunshots from a raider in the bunker. On a side note, not a sign of NCR as of yet, though they may just have well trained stealth personnel who are watching us.

Knights and Paladins,
If raiders start hitting the sector, you have permission to fire at will upon any jackass that expresses hostilities toward the Brotherhood. I know you're all suspicious of those New Haven guys, but we've been observing them, and decided they are of very little threat. They leave us alone, we leave them in peace. Raiders however, that's another story.

<:: Senior Paladin Titus here.
Understood Head Knight, however it may be in some of your intrests to know that the New Haven faction has spreaded through out the entire sector, they recently claimed a new piece of land to the left of our base. (The town.) The small pass to the left of the base is guarded and I doubt we'll be able to pass through there if we dont want to be near these New Haven. I suggest we work on securing the tunnel so we do manage to interact with the other sectors. However when I say secure I mean make sure no one has it guarded so we may pass. I'll be honest with you as it is. Its like with those NCR, when a force builds up so greatly within' so much little time they are bound to become greedy and expand so understand my concerns. If we are to get into a engagement with New Haven our left flank is out flanked, our right flank is not out flanked so we should defiantly look to keeping it that way. Same goes for these NCR, I've noticed some troopers in the New Haven base as some of us know and for all we know they could have a alliance. Which makes our operations in researching here all that more dangerous.
See, if we need to extract we can not. We can not simply fly out as that is impossible. We do not have vertibirds like those Enclave did, and steel knows how they made them. And we've got Scribes here, if we're going to extract them at one point it needs to be at a entirely safe manner. It is extremely important we remain safe and independent. Other wise if we're pushed back all the way, the entire chapter here is going to have to be ready to fight to the death in there own homes. And we dont need that.
I'm aware we're not at war, but we need to keep focused, anything can happen at anytime. Especially in these wastelands.
Any orders or suggestions on how we could acheive this? ::>
Lilly Wolfe promoted to Senior Knight, effective immediately. Get a new suit of T-45b while you're at it.
<:: Head Knight Avalon ::>
// Use the one sitting in your safebox leftover from that event.
We have a new Senior Scribe joining our ranks from one of the distant field bunkers in the region. He will directly join our chapter shortly. Head Scribe, I am leaving you responsible for his introduction to our little family.
In other news, the "Initiate" is to be released from his holding and put through various trials of Knighthood and Scribehood, depending on where he may be most useful. He is forbidden access to any firearms or weapons until further notice, however.
Head Scribe, add the newcommers to our rosters. // Add Thanatos's initiate since I never did. :| "I'll do this when I find out his information tonight - Mad"

Elder Lawrence Sumner Neil
<:: Lilly Wolfe here, wow sir, thank you so much! It's an honor to have been with the brotherhood of steel long enough to receive the rank of Senior, it's been an honor to work with all of you as well. I hope to see you all in the field.
<:: Senior Lilly Wolfe ::>
Head Paladin,
The faction known as 'New Haven' has disappeared from the area. Overheard whispers indicate that the bulk of their force has traveled north for some reason.
They wouldn't get up and leave like that unless it was important. I wish for you to bring a small, undercover group to follow and see what exactly is going on.
The use of energy weaponry is forbidden on this expedition. Power armor is also forbidden. You will charade as a group of mercenaries and you will be out of contact with the central bunker for this mission. If you must, take contracts from wastelanders and local factions--including, but not limited, to the NCR.
As far as anyone else needs to know, you are only regular wastelanders. Only Paladins are permitted to partake in this mission, and I will absolutely not allow even a moment of separation between your brothers. You will not reveal your true identity or the affiliation you hold with the Brotherhood for the duration of the mission. Start picking your new names, because it's what you will know each other by for this journey.
That is all. Steel be with you,
Elder Lawrence Sumner Neil

I feel like I've been in some kind of deep sleep or something, so much stuff has been going on. On this Head Knight matter, has his power armour been retrieved as the technology is valuable? Also it may be an idea to station 2-3 Knights or higher ranked personal at the tunnel to keep it open for travel between the sectors. It would also act as early warning system if we are attacked by any hostiles. The group there would be able to radio in and either fall back or call for reinforcements. Just saying it would help than being attacked at are base and having literally no where to fall back to.

My brothers,
I too have heard of this disaster... Avalon was a good friend of mine, whom I've shared much combat experience with. I am grieved to hear of his loss. Directed toward Knight Jones however, according to these logs at the Lost Hills bunker, the bulk of your chapter as relocated to a new location--so the tunnels and sectors you're thinking of are no longer part of the local terrain.
However I may hold some good news. There's been talk of sending a Paladin strike force, maybe three or four people. I don't know his name, but the group's leader must have known Avalon as well as I did.
Also I've been meaning to get in touch with you guys. Head Scribe back in Lost Hills wanted me to relay some helpful information to my old chapter. We've been analyzing some of the data sent by your scribes and knights regarding those virtual reality pods in what is currently the Elders' Chambers. The simulator is functional but we're not yet sure how to activate it. As long as it works, it'll be possible to activate, we just gotta figure out how. Right now all we can do is run the sim on a monitor in a first-person mouse and keyboard style which is highly awkward. It looks like a hypothetical scenario of the Chinese and United States militarizes, in which the Chinese possess power armor. In reality they never did, but the sim must have been a method of training soldiers in case the Chinese had indeed ripped off American power armor variants, as this was the expectation during the war.
Fighting large numbers, in power armor no less, it'll be like combating the NCR and Enclave in one simulation.
Anyway, before I go, give my regards to Elizabeth. I haven't seen her since I retired from my position as Head Paladin.
Sincerely,
Former Head Paladin of the Amargosa Chapter,
Senior Scribe J. Anderson

We cannot and will not allow anyone inside or outside of the base today, stay inside, keep your head down.

I've been asked to write reports on the events leading up to my disabilities, I feel too dishonored to even be touching this part of the Codex however I must reclaim what has been taken from me.
I'll begin with the start of this week, I left and headed north on a single man patrol of exploration, I was out in the wasteland searching for two days feeding from animals and old pre-war food, sooner or later leading up to the recent NCR Brotherhood war, I heard radio chatter and began a forced march back home. I wonder to myself if it was even the right choice knowing what would come of me. I'd return to the wastelands in this area in a day, recovering ground quickly at a tiresome march south. At this point, I held position in the forest and set up a jammer in case I'd be detected. My plan was to catch the NCR from behind if they planned to attack however due to my tiresome march I was caught off guard by a Yao-Gai. I managed to kill it but at the cost of loosing my legs, I was crippled and my Armour wasnt going to fix this solution for ever. Sooner or later I found I was bleeding from a series of wounds and trapped against a tree.
I presume I held my location for near on a day before finally passing out from the loss of blood, I tried to do everything in my power to stop myself from bleeding but the wounds I had succumb'd to had overcome me. Luckly, my Jammer couldnt stop every single bit of information I sent out, it scrambled and sent off strange forms of communications. I assume they tracked the signal and found me. After finding my bleeding against a tree, I was awakened to see my armor being torn off and my wounds being healed. I was carried back to the bunker like a child... I am not a child, Paladins are not children. I remember hearing fighting before being layed in Elizabeths room.
We spoke for a time before sleeping, every bit of worry in my mind briefly went away until the next day. Though my injurys was patched, I couldnt walk and I do feel incredibly weak. I had to regain honour some how, I took up the opputunity to handle a peace negotiation with a "Alex". I planned the defence briefly and we was set, I brought the NCR soldier before the Elder where they discussed peace and came to a conclusion. After escorting the Alex to the surface I ordered everyone into the bunker while the Elder issued a lockdown. I returned to the Elder to explain and seek forgiveness.
At this point, all of what my worries had been, for they was gone had now returned. I told him everything, about my love for Elizabeth and where I went. I told him why I returned and why I handled that negotiation as a attempt to reclaim honour. Suffice to say I feel it failed in doing that terribly. Sooner or later into discussion, he demoted me at this point the loss of honour I was lossing was unbearable. I thought about everything, the Brotherhood, Elizabeth, my family. Just everything. I fell to the ground, onto my knees at the Elders feet and began to beg him to not take anymore honour from me. I begged him to have all the Paladins beat me instead as dicipline, I'd prefered that then anything. I begged him for a mission entrusted to myself to carry out to regain what was taken for me to be at the mercy of a "I'll think about it."
I'd return to Elizabeths room where I was staying, I'd get my suit off. I didnt feel I was honored enough to wear it anymore and I took up a wheelchair instead. I had all Head units in the room with me trying to tell me a false truth that I have been a great ally. But even if that was true what difference does that make? I broke the very foundations of the Codex and loss near on everything, my life is in the shame. All I can do now is wait and hope I get this mission I need, I wont even take a minute to wait and heal and I am willing to do anything just so I can gain what has been taken from me.
If theres somthing I've learned from this ordeal its that when a man is on the verge of loosing everything, he honestly doesnt care anymore apart from what hes lost. I've lost somthing and I want it back. I'll do what ever I must to reclaim that even if this mission I might be issued is a suicide mission.
Further more from that, I have fears. I was the only senior Paladin for some time and effective at my job, now that I am no longer that rank what will happen to others in combat? Will the new Senior Paladin be capable to lead and fight under Elizabeth like I did? Things are so messed up, if theres one thing that I think about when it comes to wanting to earn what I've lossed its that I am wondering if my dishonor will lead to the people around me getting hurt in a fight where they might need me. Honestly, as bad as it sounds. It hurts too much to think that I could wage more suffering like that. Maybe I have fell too far?
I must battle for redemption at every turn so I may be forgiven by myself, the Brotherhood and Elizabeth.
PS: As a sidenote, I believe my gatling laser was recovered, I want it returned to Elizabeths quarters as soon as possible.
