From what i can find.. this might be the movie his talking about http://www.answers.com/topic/stalker-film (http://www.answers.com/topic/stalker-film)
This is based off of Road side Picnic ( Free read http://www.shnaresys.com/roadside/picnic/parallel.htm (http://www.shnaresys.com/roadside/picnic/parallel.htm)). The game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is based off of both (with its own plot of why the zone exist)
I don't think they could put a game crash into a movie. :P
I think i saw it on youtube... fan made right?
Old!
would be cool if they made a real movie, like with a medium budget or something.
There was a movie named STALKER and it had to do with some sort of zone and aliens or something. But it came out before the Chernobyl incident. Here read it yourself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalker_%28film%29 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stalker_%28film%29)
Yeah I watched that movie not too long ago.
Very good movie. I don't know why but I enjoyed the long scene shots rather then alot of short clips edited together.
It's a shame alot of the actors/behind the scenes people died form the filming of the movie.
Quote from: WikipediaWe were shooting near Tallinn in the area around the small river Pirita with a half-functioning hydroelectric station. Up the river was a chemical plant and it poured out poisonous liquids downstream. There is even this shot in Stalker: snow falling in the summer and white foam floating down the river. In fact it was some horrible poison. Many women in our crew got allergic reactions on their faces. Tarkovsky died from cancer of the right bronchial tube. And Tolya Solonitsyn too. That it was all connected to the location shooting for Stalker became clear to me when Larisa Tarkovskaya died from the same illness in Paris.
IN the movie they spent literally about 30 minutes lieing or wading though that poisonous water.
The movie came out in 79 so of course it's old.
FUCKING BUMP
