Potential Roleplay Replacement Server

I had fun just RPing as a blacksmith. However it stopped being fun when people just constantly bitched about me taking too long, not selling them armor that should cost a fortune, and trying to treat me like an NPC that just barfs up weapons/armor for coin.

I would love to help return to the GMod servers, but I still can't get further than the load screen.


Other than that, there are things SRP could use to spruce it up. It' works like it is, but there are certain things about it that can be made to make it feel more like Stalker.

Like the inventory and HUD can be changed to make it look like Stalker. More playermodels would be nice, instead of having rookies everywhere. Basically, just adding a fresh coat of paint over SRP would be nice. I'm sure there are some people on HGN that could help with it. You just need to get asking so others get to asking.

Before this turns into sniping at who isn't doing what (or rather before this devolves further into sniping at who isn't doing what...) how about the people running Crussaria/SRP/any other server where the issue is "no one is helping" POST A FUCKING TOPIC SAYiNG WHAT KIND OF HELP THEY WANT instead of making us play guessing games. Crussaria already has that with the "post event ideas" but a second topic called "Why the fuck are none of you joining?" would probably also further that goal.

As you can see people don't actually have anything new to add here, you either fix SRP or make an STTRP server that will die as quickly as FRP did.
Although I recommend you to go with the former because there is a ton of glitches and bugs and some new content won't hurt either.

You should make SRP more appealing to the new members and fresh joiners. Put a fancy hud, inventory and backpack browser. Style up the guns, give them some better sounds than that. I have a few friends that are interested in SRP because I just tend to go play it whenever they want me to play with them. But I think when they see it they'll just give it up at the same time. It took me a few weeks to understand the beauty of SRP, and all that was driven by a stalker-faminism(whatever that means). If I wasn't that of a stalker fan I probly wouldn't have stayed.

You need to make a cake look good for people to actually taste it's greatness.

I personally think we should just scrap everything but SRP because let's be honest, only one gamemode is going to come out alive in the coming months, and use the server slots for different servers on different games that have so many loads of players, like CS:S and by this I mean something like a regular dust_2 server or maybe a zombie server or a jailbreak or something of that caliber. Except, let's only release one at a time. MC/Terraria, I have no idea what to do with those.

How is Skyrim so 100% different from any other fantasy setting? What does "make it Skyrim" mean specifically? Crussaria's canon is open for writing right now so if you have an idea for canon write it up. Saying "Make it like this" is not helpful when Crussaria already has magic, swords, and other general fantasy tropes.

Frankly TES isn't known for its amazing storyline, it's known for being open world fantasy roleplaying. Crussaria is already that with a far more interesting canon. Lrn2imagination instead of just "I like this game, let's copy it" because that does not work. If your server is called "Skyrim Roleplay" your players are all going to say "I r the chosen 1 dragon born!111ONE!1111!!!!!" just like they did in FO RP and to a certain extent in STALKER RP. That is why using established game canon is a horrible, horrible idea. Take the elements you like out of Skyrim and put your own spin on it. Do not try to copy it.

Which will lead to the issue FO had of NO ONE paying attention to the canon and acting like it was New Vegas instead of the custom canon. That will happen here. And before you say "oh well we'll just tell them and it will be fine" just ask how well that worked in FO (it didn't at all).

If you call it "fantasy RP" people will be interested and they will understand they need to look up the canon. If you call it Skyrim RP you have retarded 12 year olds saying they are Dragonborn and invincible. It's not worth it.

And just calling it "Skyrim RP" and then having it unconnected to Skyrim at all (which is the other way I am interpreting your post) will piss people off for the opposite reason: they will expect canon they know and then won't understand why it isn't like that. Skyrim will make fantasy RP popular, regardless of if the server is set in that world or not.
